Me, too!  Is it expensive to live in midtown?  I love driving down there because the buildings remind me of Berkeley....without all the hippies and bums.

it's not expensive at all! i have a nice 1 bedroom for $725 right off Capitol. there are tons of studio apartments for around $5-600. my place is a good size and has tons of space so it is well worth the money. hehe there's an aparmtnet open there right now too!

plus, since you are right by everything, you don't drive as much. i carpool to davis w/ a coworker so i only drive my car every other day. i can walk to all the restaurants and bars which is great b/c you don't need a DD!

hey! i was wondering the same thing..like if anyone lived near me. But i dont live in sacramento i live like 20 minutes away,but i just tell people sac cause its basically where i fly out of and all. do you guys know where granite bay is? its by roseville and rocklin and stuff..thats where i just moved toooo.

Hmm...I wonder if I could convince my boyfriend to commute from Midtown to Rocklin???

Granite Bay...I'm guessing your folks pull in some hefty dough.  Anyways ....welcome to the Sacramento area!  I just moved here recently and love it.  It must be nice being so close to the lake.

Yeah its a long story but i lived in the area most of my life when i was younger but my daddy lived in orange county and i lived with him for a while but he just recently passed away so im Back to the lovely nor cal! haha oh jeez i get that alot but i go to granite bay high school and i really really hate the school because every single person at my school cares about money and thats ALL they care about and like ya i like nice things but im seriously not like that at all and it drives me nuts cause i couldnt care less what their parents got them for xmas or how much their shirt cost you know.

oh and yeah its convienient living near the lake how far are you from it?!

Citrus Heights..... but I always drive through Granite Bay on the way there and secretely wish I had a home overlooking the lake.  I went to a high school full of rich girls/guys so I totally know what you mean with the status thing.  It's like you need to remind them that it's their parent's money and doesn't make them special or anything.

(btw: I'm sorry to hear about your dad.  I hope the move is working out for you)

i've lived in sac all my life, grew up right in elk grove then lived in davis for 3 years while i went to school and am now back in midtown. i am starting a new job in lodi on the 20th so i'll be driving a bit but it's totally worth it. do you guys go to folsom lake? i go swim at lake natoma off hazel. it's chilly water!

aw thanks. ya i know right. and my mom has a mortgage/real estate co. so she does like loans for all their parents and its funny to see how their like neckdeep in debt and their credit and stuff and then i see them at school the next day and theyre strutting their stuff like theyre filthy rich

yea i just graduated from davis in june. it is a super nice school.

i go out to natoma to swim and train for my triathlon. the water is sooo cold!

yeah davis is amaaaaazing i love the mondavi center!

o the mondavi center is crap. it would be great if htey had stuff there that was more oriented to students instead of rich davisites. but that's just how davis is. most of it is great. have you been down to teh arboretum? it is soo nice down there.

I live in Sacramento!  So nice to see that there are people nearby doing the same thing.  I live off of 99 at the 50/80 split.

I have JUST moved back to Sacramento from the bay area. Lived here all my life until college in SF, and now I'm back! :) I work in downtown, right near the Capitol.
