It really couldn't have been released at a better time. What are your thoughts on it? The resource based economy is interesting to think about...

Preachy.  The whole Venus Project thing...yeah, huh.

The guy was talking about having a society free of crime, but never once addressed crimes that do not have a basis in social classes.  There are behavioral criminals.  What about them?  I understand the nature/nuture aspect, but if your brain set up to be a serial killer that's just the way it is.  You may or may not act out, but no amount of uptopian societal good vibes will make you less of a whatever-opath.

I guess my beef is more with The Venus Project than the film.  Down with The Fed!

Did you hear about Iceland nationalizing it's central bank and people freaking out?

There's a thread about Freedom to Fascism going on.  Not that anyone is saying much.  http://caloriecount.about.com/woah-u-guys-ft1 17643

Zeitgeist is released every year. Unless its the same one I saw a year ago, but I don't remember anything about criminals being on it . . . I like them though. Conspiracy theories are always fun.

Thanks for posting this. I wasn't aware there was a new one out. :)

I saw a part of that movie about the FED...and that conspiracy was way too far-fetched. Not only did it support the gold standard, which was abandoned in 1933 because it didn't work, but it continued to misinform that our money is valued at nothing but what the FED says. The sad thing some people really believe that, rather than taking it with a grain of salt and doing some real research.

And I clearly remember how someone was talking in it about getting angry and doing something. As far as I am aware, getting angry and doing something usually puts you in jail.

So Natashik, I suppose you've done your own research.  Why is having a private central bank better than a nationalized one?

i'm bumping this because i hope Natashik answers.  More people should discuss this.
