Did anyone see the Victoria's Secret Show????

Just checking in to see if anyone saw the Victoria's Secret show last night. I have to say that yes those girls are extremely beautiful, but way too skinny. Yes they look great in those little skimpy outfits and all but my gosh they are so skinny is it almost gross.

Just wanted to see what everyone else thought.

I didn't see it but I have see it in the past. I think all those women are disgustingly skinny. This is why women struggle with self image issues, because they have these women promoting it. IMO.

I saw it!! I didn't think they looked too skinny! I thought many of them looked very toned and in shape. None of their eyes looked dead or expressionless to me.. and I think they were celebrating their bodies extremely well.  Maybe it's just me though... I like catelogue models... professional runway models are usually more skeletal and sickly looking, but that is a whole other sad story.

My husband and I watched it, there was maybe one or 2 models that might have been too skinny but overall I didn't think they were too bad, I did catch my husband with his mouth wide open staring at them in awe which was pretty funny. My favorite is Miranda Kerr who I think is beautiful.

yeah, they weren't too bad, but that is what i've been socialized to think. When one #2 poster posted about struggling with self image issues, I agree, however, i still think they looked pretty.

I'm going to have to agree.  Most runway models are grossly skinny and sick looking, but I think Victoria's Secret models look pretty good.  Now, I'm not saying they are the norm, because they are not.  But they are all pretty tall and very lean.  Most of them had no protruding bones or anything like that.

I think the Victoria Secret models are just gorgeous. But, I agree that most runway models are too extreme.  I also love flipping through the Victoria Secret's catelogue. There is just no comparison to typical runway models and the Victoria Secret's Angels. imo

i don't understand post(s) like this. i dont know if its to make people feel better that aren't "skinny" or what. who cares.

They're not gross, they're beautiful.

 Maybe in your eyes they're gross, but you cant say that they are, or they wouldnt be models.

Everyone has their own tastes, I could say what I think is gross but I wouldnt because it's offensive and it's unfair to those people who look like that or want to look like that.

I saw pictures of it, and while I didn't think any of the models looked excessively skinny (they did look gorgeous), I can't say that I saw a single piece of lingerie that I would actually want to wear.  Maybe I'm just too utilitarian or basic when it comes to undergarments, and my hubby is just a plain black satin kind of guy....

But it was okay stuff for a fashion show, I guess.
