Is there anyone on this site that works for a modeling agency?!

Ok, so I want to be a model. The problem is I'm only about 5"5 and I'm not sure how much more i'm going to grow. I still really really want to.

So, is there anyone that is involved with the modeling agency that knows if they actually take short models? I know that I won't be able to do like runway and everything, but I'd LOVE to do photo shoots.

you can be any height to be a print model. Kate moss is only 5'7 and shes a runway model. I think thats the minimum any agency will take for runway but u never know if you dont try.
Omg, you just made my day! I<3 you!

I'm an aspiring model and right now am in the process of choosing my top choices for agencies and finding a convenient time to travel to Toronto or New York to pursue it. I've looked into alot about requirements, especially height and size as I seem to be an inch over both norms (5'11", 36" Hip) Here is a quick summary of my research. Hope it gives some perspective andhelps you make a decision.
There is 'real life' modelling which basically accepts anyone any height but I assume you are talking the more publicized end of modelling: Commercial Print/ Beauty or Runway/High Fashion/Editorial. For Commercial, height doesnt tend to be as big an issue, but the clientelle is everything. Most beauty campaigns nowadays go to celebrities as well, so that is a downside.
Runway/High Fashion requires alot of height. 5'10 is the ideal though a few girls will be 5'9 or 5'11. Measurements regardless of height are 32-36 Bust, 23-25 Waist, 33-35 Hip. There is an occasional instance of a shorter girl (Kate Moss seems to be the only one below 5'8 that I know- and she doesnt get runway anymore, Sasha P is 5'8.5 and very successful)
Fact is, 5'9" is the usual limit for any modelling contests and for most agents. The exceptions are usually scouted, then their careers made by a valuable connection (Kate Moss was made by Calvin Klein after meeting him in a club) My reccomendation is to research agencies and find one with a strong commercial base and connections in fashion. Avoid the runway/editorial specialized ones such as DNA and Supreme. And remember, be honest about your height if booking meetings via email or phone, and what one agency might not want is what another might be looking for. Good luck ;)
