For anyone who is starting over today

hey hey hey! today I will begin the challenge of kicking my bad eating habits. I have thought about doing this for a long time but have neglected to stick with it. I want to feel more energetic, stronger, slimmer, and overall, healthier. I want to enjoy every bite of food i put in my mouth, eat slower, try not to nibble while preparing a meal, put down my fork before i feel too full, and to be very aware of my sugar intake. If i have sweets i really need to focusing on eating them in SMALL portions, otherwise i get carried away. I don't care too much about working out, i more so want to focus on my diet. As long as I feel good, that is all that matters. Anyone else starting today? Share your goals with me!

They just started a biggest loser contest where I work...today is the first official day...I was sooo NOT happy with my first weigh-in...BLA!Cry  I workout almost everyday!  HOWEVER, I eat like crap!  I need to focus on my diet and stay consistent.  Consistency is key for me b/c I tend to be an all or nothing thinker.  One of my goals is to actually log what I eat DAILY and use this website! haha  I also need to continue to eat healthy on the weekends.  I tend to eat well when I am at work, but nights and weekends are hard for me.  I feel that I have a good handle on exercise, but need lots of motivation and encouragement when it comes to eating right!

yes i also am working on logging what i eat. I won't do this for long though, just to get a feel of how many calories are in what foods and caloric intake i should shoot for on days i work out vs. do not workout.

do you tend to eat the same foods daily?

hm. i would have to say no. i get plenty of the same foods groups, but do not eat the same things every day. i have heard that eating similar things, however, does help with weight loss.

I started two days ago. Last year was pretty stressful and I didn't focus enough on my health. I'd like to get really fit again and lose about 15 lbs.  For the first time in a while I feel at peace- and not in pain-enough to focus on losing a bit of weight.
