Has anyone taken Topamax/Topiramate?

Sorry I'm coming to this post last, I just really wanted to put my two cents in since I had such a bad experience. I was on Topomax for about 5 months to try to manage my migraines, and it was really aweful. It didn't help the headaches much or suppress my appetite, though it did make things taste weird especially beverages. It was like sucking on a dirty penny. All the time. I also had a lot of trouble with word recall and vocabulary, getting lost, short temper, sleepiness. When I think back on this time, all I can remember is the discomfort, pain and irritability I felt.

I was prescribed topomax  but didn't lose a pound :( ! I took it for 3 months and then the side effects (bad taste, tingling, hair loss, and worst of all memory loss) finally made me stop.  I just started taking a product called Acai Burn 3 weeks ago and my energy level is through the roof!  I have already lost 9 lbs and I haven't even tried.  I just prefer this alternative mostly because there are no side effects!  I bought mine at http://natihealth.com/blog/ and got it in a few days!  Best of luck to you all :)

i have been taking topamax for about 6 months now.i get lil visual hallucinations like lines and round circles.diffrent colours like purple,blue mainly.i get a bit of double vision,just a few weird "plays"with my vision.      &n bsp;        ;       &n bsp;    i have the really vivid dreams and can too go back to the same one after waking from it

lost a quite a bit of weight on them and have kept it off and do not binge eat at all on it.taking 400mg a day.i was 124kg now im 93kg.

does anyone smoke the herb wile on it?if so wat experences are they feeling?
