Anyone tall (i am 5' 11) and in the 170's and up range??
I am new here and i have been looking around and can't find anyone my size! I know that i am tall but i don't think that i am some weird freakanoid height! Is there anyone here who is in the same boat???
I went on the south beach diet about 3 weeks ago and lost like 8 pounds so i was down to about 172. I i don't really know if i gained much of it back (at least i hope i didn't, i am scared to get on the scale) but if i did i am probably a little heavier (like 180). Maybe i'll have the courage to go on the scale tomorrow morning (it is really really late and i dunno why i am still awake). I want to get back on the bandwagon because i totally lost control after doing soooo well! I need to loose weight by the end of the summer! I want to be fit and health going back into the school year!

Hi, im 5'8 and weigh 60kg.. dont know what that converts to in pounds or ounces or whatever haha sorry im from New Zealand and am not sure how to tell the difference!

I am 5'11'' and started out at 240 lbs but am now 205, I have lost 35 lbs and want to lose another 55!! Getting closer :)

what sizes are everyone (if you want to share), i'm just curious. i wear a 10/12 in pants and a medium (sometimes small depending on the cut) in tops. I have big hips and thighs but a small stomach and upper body. thighs are such a pain to get rid of though!!

You're not a freakanoid at all! I'm 5'8'' and I weigh 179, I have a medium/large frame as well. I've lost around 90 pounds and I have 20-25 to go. I'll never be a size 2, I don't have the frame for it, but I definitely want to be fitter. I started at a size 22 in jeans and I can fit into a size 12 now, but a 14 feels more comfortable in some cuts, lol.

I'm pretty consistantly a 10. Sometimes a 12, rarely though. I'm a Medium in like...everything.. How about other people? I'm also quite interested in what sizes other 5'11"-6ft people are....
I'm 5'9" and 196lbs... I didn't think I was considerd tall, but saw some 5'8" posts, so I decided to join in. I'm in a size 16 bottoms, and size Large tops :O I'm so happy in that size for now though, I can comfortably wear a 14, but I hate the look it gives me (hello love handle rolls.. ick!)

I'm 5'10", 168 pounds. I gain and lose weight pretty evenly over my body and I wear mostly a size 12 in everything. I do have a couple pairs of jeans that are 10's though.
I wore a size 14 from about 175-190, and a size 16 from 190-216.

I am 5'9", 199 pounds. I wear a size 12 or 14 depends. I have 40 pounds to go before I reach my target weight. When I was at 155 I looked good and I was wearing a size 8 or 10. I will never ever be a size 2 either. Its not in my genes. Its like me trying to fight the fact I have a size 10 shoe. There is no way my foot (or frame) will allow me to get any smaller.
Hey kay, I hear you on the size 2 thing. I have a small frame and I don't see that ever happening. LOL. But I would venture to say there are very few women 5'9" and over that could ever be that small. Do you guys/girls wanna start a weekly weigh in here?

In highschool and college I was 140-145, size 8ish and thought I was huge - when I see those pictures now I see I was skinny!

I'm struggleing to lose weight because I unknowingly put myself into starvation mode and am now trying to recover. I have always been tall, and when I was 17ish was in a uk size 8. NOT good! I'm aiming to lose maybe a stone a stone and a half. But really I'm looking to change my eating in general. Not to deprive myself of the things I enjoy but to have them every day. To increase my fruit intake and just be more aware of what i'm eating. :o)

The lowest number I've hit so far was 158lbs on Jun 25th, this morning I'm at 161lbs (I tend to zig-zag my way down).
I was wearing an 18/20 (I refused to buy anything bigger for my own self-esteem issues), and 'm currently in about a 12/14. I will also never be a size 2, or 4, or probably even 6... but I'm not that worried about size numbers anymore, because I can go into a store and stuff actually fits, so that's what makes me happy.
Short term goals are always the next pound lost (so right now, seeing 157 on the scale one morning), long term goals are always a new 2nd digit (so 140's hopefully).
My original target was mid 150's, but I have changed it to mid 140's, which is mid "healthy BMI" range, hoping my body will get there eventually.

Good Job ontario!!! Thats awesome that you lost 40 pounds in 5 months!!!! What exactly are you doing to loose the weight?
I am trying to eat 5 small meals a day. Ive cut sugar, salt, and most dairy out of my diet and am only eating fresh natural foods. (veggies, chicken, turkey, potatoes, etc)
I purchased an elliptical machine and started out at 20 min a day (every day). After 2-3 weeks of that I upped the workout time to 30 min a day(every day) and on June 29th I upped my excersize again to 45 min. a day. (every day)
I lost 10 pounds in the past 6 weeks and I really want to loose 10 more in July. I hope I start seeing some results!
Oh, and I just purchased the Alli diet pill. Ive heard mixed reviews but it claims that if you are already working out and eating a low fat diet it blocks the absorbson(sp?) of fat.

200 was my max college weight, then I did Atkins one summer which took me to my smallest adult weight (170), and I stuck around 180 for 2 years, but recently I've been 190. Now I'm trying to get back into the groove. Oh, and as for build, I'm big everywhere (blessed from top to bottom).
I've ranged between a size 12-14 my whole adult life, but noticed the other day when I went shopping that 16s were becoming a little too comfortable...
My goal is 175 (so my drivers license isn't lying), but I'd like to get down to 160 or a size 10 (whichever comes first!)

I wear size 14 now comfortably, and a 12 tightly. (I have a pair of size 12 pants on right now, and I have a muffin top going on!!)
I would be happy to lose about 10-15 more pounds and then work on toning my flab!
I will also never ever ever be a 2. or a 4, or 6. I will be happy when I can comfortably wear a 12. I'm on my way though!
