Ive battled with my weight my whole life(if you want to know more you can check out my profile)and Im looking for people like me out there, close to my age who can relate to what I am going through. Im doing the 12 week exercise program and so far Im doing really good (just finished day 8)! I would love to get a group together to share progress and challenges and failures etc. Anyone?

actually i'm back at 141.0... i'm thinking that 2lbs post vacation was too much sodium...
I've stuck with the trainer and she is sooo awesome. I am thinking i'm gonna continue with it....knowing i'm gonna meet with her keeps me motivated at the gym.
so here's my goal.... my b-day is next tues (feb 5th)...I would like to hit 139 by my b-day....................

I haven't been on in about a week. I've been sick with the flu. Fun stuff, let me tell ya. So I missed weigh in day. But I did manage to weigh myself this morning. Last weeks weight was 193.......as of this morning I was 190.5. Not to bad for not being able to work out for a week. I'm happy with it. I've managed to lose about 7.5 lbs since i've started so I don't really think I'm doing to bad. Anyways, I had only a little bit of time to read over the rest of the posts. But Congrats to everyone who reached their goal for the week (last week).

Ok so I know I just posted, but I'm at work and really bored. I was sitting gere thinking about some stuff and wanted to get someone elses opinion on it.
So I'm used to workingout in the evenings. Thats what I've always done. I usually go right after work so I don't end up making some excuse as to why I can't go. But lately there are all these people who are at the gym now ( new years resolutions). Before it was pretty easy trying to get a machine. If at all anything I maybe had to wait 5-10 mins. Tops. Now its to the point where I'm waiting 30-45 mins. And as soon as a machine opens up, its like a stampeed, everyone goes running for it. So I started going later. Instead of getting there around 5:30-6, I would go home, make some dinner, chill out for a while and then go around 8. By the time I'm finished workingout and go home, take a shower and start to wind down for the night. Its already like 10:30. Now don't get me wrong 10:30 isn't late in my book, but when you have to get up for work at 5:30-6am it is. I'm not a morning person, so I need as much shut eye as I can get. But I still don't get it. I'm completely ready for bed, and I can't sleep, my mind is racing, I have so much energy. And I know that come from workingout. And I know that that is a good thing, but not when I need to sleep. So the whole point of the long and drawn out question is........do any of you workout in the morning? Before going to work. My gym opens at 5am. I was thinking about starting to get up every morning and going to the gym around 5, so that I would be done by 6. Have and hour to get cleaned up and ready for work, and still be able to be at work by 8. And then have my workout finished for the day. The only thing I would have to worry about for the rest of the day is what I put in my mouth. But I'm not sure I can do it. Does anyone do it? Is it hard to get up that early and get motivated to workout? Do you have energy for 3 hours and then crach and burn midday? Any imput would be appretiated. Thanks!!
Even though I was up at 6am today and could have done it and gone to work by 9. I didn't.
It's my birthday and I refuse to work out.

I agree I wouldn't want to either on my Birthday. Think of it as a giving yourself a present. A day of nothing!!!!

I just joined CC last week. I am 27 and have also battled with my weight my whole life. I was a "chubby"- putting it nicely- child and then basically starved myself and played sports in HS. I was 115 at my lowest...After HS I began drinking heavily and gave up on my fitness routine. At my heaviest I was 215... I am 5'3'' so this is basically HUGE! Anyways, I lost 85 lbs total and got down to 130. Then I moved in with my boyfriend 1.5 years ago and have gained 10 lbs back... I have maintained at 140 for over a year but would like to get down to 120-125 range. I am hoping that with the motivation of all of the people on this site I can do it. I exercise regularly... I get up at 430 a and hit the gym.... I just eat too much. :O(
Working out in the morning is great!! My schedule @ work is 7am -3:30pm so if I want to go to the gym I am usually there @ 4:00 or 4:30 am. At first it was very hard to get adjusted to it (mostly the waking up so early) but if you can do it for 4 days in a row it will be a piece of cake. You have energy for the entire day and it is so relieving to just get it out of the way so it leaves your evenings free. What will definitely help you if you do decide to start going early is to have a work out buddy that goes to your same gym. If you know that there is someone there waiting to hold you accountable you are far much less likely to give in to those warm covers and sleep in. You don't necessarily have to work out w/ this "buddy" just agree to meet there or make some sort of game like if some one flakes they have to pay the other person say $3. My sister is my work out buddy and if we are late or don't show up we put money into a piggy bank. Whom ever reaches their weight loss goal first gets the money for a shopping spree that we are planning once we are both thinner.

I hate being sick. I feel so useless, cant go to work, cant clean up around the house. PATHETIC! ARGHHHHHHHHHH lol I just hate it. anyways lol about working out in the mornings thats the way I have to do it and I am not a morning person in anyway shape or form. (I workout at home btw) If I wait until I get home from work theres no getting me off the couch. It was definitley hard at first... try to think of it as an important appointment and commit yourself. You can do it!

Bend Girl with some will power from yourself and some motivation from us youll reach your goal for sure. I find it helps if you plan out what youre going to eat for the day first thing in the morning. Input all your meals and snacks and dont cheat. Be strong!
Yessica just for the record you are amazing! 4am is really early! The earliest I work is 9 so I get up at 730ish to exercise, but youre right you definitely have more energy through out the day and then when you get home all you have to do is relax! I prefer it that way for sure!

Kristen I used to be a morning work out person but with my job I changed to the evening because if I worked out in the morning I'd probably have to get up at 4am
I love the way I feel after working out in the morning, plus I like working out on an empty stomach for some reason, plus I always have an energy boost.
I say, get it in where you can fit it in.

I have good news thank God cause I was really getting down. Even though yersterday I weighed in at 142.4, this morning on the day it counts first weigh-in 140.8, weighed again 141 so I'm going with 141

i weighed this morning and i am at 284. down another 6 from last week. i don't know how this keeps happening. i thought it was starting to slow down last week, but i guess not. either way, i'm not complaining. i never get hungry so this isn't torture or anything. i feel really good.
and it's official people. i have less than 100 pounds to go to get to my goal. it's a huge mountain to climb, but it's nice to have less than a 100 to go.

Even though I'm feeling extremely bloated today, I'm down a pound from last week to 182.0. Might be a slow loss, but it's a loss. AND we have a snow day today from work! That almost never happens!

Kristen, I'm totally a night owl, and just the thought of getting up early to exercise makes me tired :) But I know lots of people do it, and they love that they get their workout over for the day. I'm much more motivated in the late afternoon or evenings. I've been known to throw on my running shoes and head downstairs to the treadmill at 9pm (or later on a weekend)! I start work at 7am, so an early intense workout just isn't for me. But I have been considering getting up early and taking the dog on a short walk once the sun comes up earlier. And it's not freezing ass cold. At any rate, I'd say give the morning workouts a try for a week or two. If you love it, great, stick with it. If not, by that time some of the people making resolutions will start giving up, and the gym won't be as crowded. That'll probably start happening mid February.
weigh day! Are you guys ready for this?? 176.5! That means 2lbs down from last week and a total of 20lbs since last april...I havent seen the scale at 170 something in atleast a year and a half, I am so pumped! Instead of doing the bikini picture I took a pic of myself in a teddy I used to fit into and its pretty much brand new. I couldnt even cram my boobs into this things, it was ridiculous, I just keep thinking theres no way my breast were that much smaller...so I hung it up infront of my workout area, hope that helps... Also I have a new motivator! My good friends are getting married in may (way to give a lot of notice guys) and my boyfriend and I are in the wedding party. The dress in $269! I dont mind paying it but I better look damn good! Im going to have my measurements taken on Sunday but I figure I can always have it altered. Wish me luck on that!
As for everyone we are all doing so great and it makes me so happy to come on here and be able to share this stuff with people that truly understand. Congrats to everyone Im impressed! Brett Im not sure if you read all the posts or if you just come to let us know how youre doing but keep it up man! Joelle it took me a while to get under 190 (my heaviest was 196) and then I shot down to the low 180s but then it took me a while to get under 180, you see where Im going with this. And Brett that's awesome - one of many more milestones to come. I'm happy for you. And Kirsten, I like that idea about the teddy. I never put a swimsuit on when I started counting calories b/c I didn't want to see it but I'm thinking about putting one on soon just to see the progress. I'm going to order from VS as soon as I get to 135.
So weigh in was good. My pounds seem to be coming off slower and slower lately (less than a lb per week but every little bit helps) This week was good:
2/1 - 137.2 lbs!! down 1.2 lbs
last week - 138.4 lbs; start weight 11/26 - 149 lbs
Yesterday was my last day at work. I got pretty sad over the last couple of days b/c I have been at my company for over 3 yrs and made some really good friends in the process. I'm definitely down and out about leaving but I'm looking forward to starting the new gig on Monday. I went in and cleaned out all my crap from my office. :( Everyone went out to lunch to my favorite sushi place and then we migrated to the bar across the street from the office after. They actually made me cry and some of them got teary eyed too. It made me feel good to know that they would miss me as much as I'll miss them. I went to a friends house after and we had more drinks. It wasn't a good day for the alcohol consumption but I didn't have a sip all week long. Any big plans for the Super Bowl?? We're having people over and making all sorts of yummy (not healthy) food :) I can't wait. I'm having what I want on Sunday, no calorie counting. A present to myself! Have a good weekend all!!
Oh you guys are so awesome and good. My task for today is to clean out all the mouldy vegetables from my fridge that I failed to eat because I had junk food too many times which led me to gain 1.5lbs this week. This is becoming a pattern - I lose a bit, get cocky, eat crap, gain a bit, get mad at myself, lose a bit ...
