Ive battled with my weight my whole life(if you want to know more you can check out my profile)and Im looking for people like me out there, close to my age who can relate to what I am going through. Im doing the 12 week exercise program and so far Im doing really good (just finished day 8)! I would love to get a group together to share progress and challenges and failures etc. Anyone?

By the way I finally got my fat belly shots posted in case. It's easy to hide it in clothes so I had to "keep it real" I though I would be posting my newest one this weekend at 140 but I guess I'll have to wait until next weekend.

Can't post much this morning but I am down to 183 again. My birthday week really screwed with me.

So with the whole lent thing I still haven't had any alcohol but I did have a couple of onion rings last night :(

Laurieellen - I'm with you, back down to 156 again.  Let's make a promise to keep serious this time! 

Tonight's going to be tough, we're having a girls-night-in, which means good food and drinks.  So we've decided to make pizzas though, but the good thing about that is we're making our own, so i can use fat free cheese, fat free sauce and veggies...now, to keep low on my intake of alcohol will be the test!

I can't remember if we have a specific day for weigh ins, but I weighed myself this morning and I'm down 4.2 lbs from my starting weight on Monday. Yea!!!

Starting weight: 194

Current weight: 189.8

Goal weight: 135

Hey guys!

So this week i kinda fell off the wagon.  I ended up going out last night, had a few drinks, eat then thought eating Jack in the Box potato wedges and 2 tacos seemed like a good idea.  i don't even really like fast food. but when i drink apparently i do.  not only did that make me feel like crap this morning, but i recently quit smoking.  well thats another down fall i have. when i drink i think smoking sounds great.  so needless to say i didn't feel real great this morning.  but i did weigh in......as of last week i went back up to 195.......as of this morning.....192.50.   so i guess thats some pregress considering i went out last night.  suppose it could of been better, but i'm happy that i atleast didn't gain.  well good luck  to the rest of you. and congrats to those who made there goal for the week.

hey everyone. it's weigh in time.

last week i was at 284 and as of this morning i am at 280. so 4 pounds lost. and now i am down 40 pounds since i started. another pretty good week. i didn't go to the gym at all this week and i'm feeling very crappy about that. i gotta get going in the gym.

so sorry to you amayou, only 4 this week. haha. you are less than a pound away from your goal and that is soooo awesome. i am jealous. i'm sure i'll be there one day and know how you feel. but keep it up.

and to everyone else, best of luck to all of you and lose some weight!

Hi All!  I havent had time to read over everyone's replies since last week (apologies!) so I'm just making a quick post. 

Last week - 137.2

Today - 137.8 (maybe too much info but TOM so I'm happy with that) :)

Start - 149

So I started my new job Monday (here right now that's why I'm rushing) and I love it so far!!  Everyone is so great and positive here and there's a huge oppty to make some big $$. :) I honestly haven't really tried too hard at counting calories this week but I've been concsious of what goes in.  Hours are tough to get used to - 8 - 6 and it takes 30 mins to get there.  I've even managed to work out on my elliptical (not at the gym) twice this week.  Aside from that this place is very active.  There's a small gym, locker rooms, full baskeball court and bike storage on-site.  Everyone here runs, plays ultimate frisbee, basketball, whatever you can think of during lunch and after work hours sometimes.  It's great and helps to motivate as well. 

So with starting a new job, SuperBowl, UNC/Duke game, and timeofmonth all in the same week - I only gained .6lbs which may even be waterweight for all i know - it was a good week.

Amayou, I totally hear you on that ounce-by-ounce ... but I'm glad a few ounces did manage to come off.  I'm at 125.5 from 126 last week. 

I've been VERY careful with the quality of my food this week, but portion control hasn't been perfect.  And exercise has gone down because I've been at work longer hours, but back to normal as of Monday.

I forgot to post my weight yesterday, so here is today's....151 (again).  Oh well, at least I didn't gain anything.

Wow, I totally forgot to check in yesterday! I had a pretty good week this week, but I've been slacking a bit on the exercise front. I'm getting in my 2 1 mile walks at work pretty much every day, but once I get home, I've just been tired. I don't want to move off the couch, then I want to go to bed. We've had such dreary weather, that might have something to do with it, I dunno.

So I dropped 2 lbs, maybe my body just needed some rest? Either way, I"m sooo ready to push into the 170's this coming week :) Let's all make this week a great one! Anyone want to send a little sunshine my way? I'm so tired of these grey skies.

Well my weigh in was satisfying as it has been for the past month.  I started at 200, last week I was at 190 and this week, 187.5.  That totals 12.5 pounds in 6 weeks.

 My fiance has been so good to me.  The weekends are my relax days where I worry less about what I eat.  But I still like to stay aware of what I'm eating.  He really wanted to have pizza last night.  So I asked if we could possibly go to Target and see what the frozen pizzas were like.  This avoided the unknown calories in many major delivery pizza places and having to limit myself to one slice.  We went to the grocery store and found that Archer Farms sold some rather healthy frozen pizzas.  We negotiated and went home with a chicken Parmesan pizza.   you could have three slices that equaled to 386 calories total, very low in fat, no trans fat, and very low in sodium. 

He also bought me some "Boca" burgers (tofu burgers) which I've wanted to try out and some shrimp to cook for myself on Monday with some salad.  He takes good care of me :)

 

Don't have internet at home right now, but we are moving so I will be able to get it then. Did weigh myself first thing on friday....last time i weighed myself I was at 167ish....that was before january....160.2 now....

Really hoping weight will be coming off pretty quick....My goal date is June 1st....going for 145ish....less if possible. :)

jberube- good idea with the pizzas!  i've been obsessed with those boboli make your owns.... it's still not the best thing for me to be eating (i throw on way to much cheese!) but i do like at least knowing what the numbers are and what i'm eating.  and yes if i was really motivated i could throw some veggies on too!

good idea with the boca burgers ;)  there's a few brands out there so if you don't like those check out some other ones.  i love knowing i can satisfy that burger urge with a veggie burger and not have to feel guilty about it! i also made sweet potato fries for the first time (baked them) and they were amazing! so i don't have to feel guilty about fries now either!

i'm pretty much starting over this week :(  i realized that i was doing a bad job with serving sizes... i use a different site to actually count calories and some times whoever puts the food in doesn't put it in right so that doesn't help :(  for instance with the said boboli pizza crusts, i put one in and it came up 190 calories so i thought that was sweet, then i was reading the label on the pizza yesterday and it's 200 per half crust!  so it's 400 calories for the whole thing not 190!  so half of my "low" days i've probably eaten more and just not known it.... i guess i have to pay more attention to servings sizes....

i'm getting frustrated though because how do you cut your calories down adn not be hungry?!  i need to eat if i'm hungry, and i can't find a way to go any lower than i am already on most days.... i guess i really need to just add in exercise. i've been lazy. and i keep saying it. but i need too.

Ok So I I weighed in yesterday.  The Monday before I was 232 lbs.  Yesterday I weighed in at 227!!!!!!!!!   That puts me at a healthy weight!!!! (barely)

This started December 12 when I weighed 263.9 lbs!   i am going to keep it up to try to get in the middle of the healthy range.  I wanted to share with you guys! 

 

amayou82-sorry for the late reply!  i haven't really changed my diet since i started plateauing, some days, i'll restrict a little more calories and some days i'll add some just to keep my metabolism challenged.....as far as exercise, i work as a server in a busy restaurant 5 days/week so i walk 'briskly' for an average of 6 hours a day, plus try to fit in some weights when i can, although i have to admit i've been getting lazy (but half a year ago i was lifting every other day and still no change! wtf??)  for february i've given up weighing myself though, it keeps me more concentrated on what i put in my mouth....two more weeks and we'll see how/if that worked :)  lemme know if there's anything else i could be doing (or doing wrong!)  thanks!!

What's up!  I'm new...been here about a week.  My name is Cole, I'll be 23 in April.  I've been over weight since puberty hit, but I'm pretty outgoing and lucky to have a nice shape despite the weight.  I always had a date and friends and wasn't really made fun of.  My current weight is 290lbs.  My goal is to see how I look and feel at around 150lbs.  I've decided to lose weight because my husband and I want to start a family in the next couple of years and I don't want to end up on bed rest during the pregnancy or contracting gestational diabetes or preeclampsia.

Kristen420...doesn't the "420" make it harder to lose weight?  When I was "420ing" I ALWAYS had the munchies! LOL

Anyway, glad to meet you all, Holla at cha Gurl!

I drank 2L of water a day. Ate 6 meals a day.  Breakfast: Cheerios and toast@ 7:30am  Celery @ 9:30 am  Spinach and tomato salad with no dressing @ 11:30  Baby Carrots @ 1:30  green Grapes @3:30  balanced dinner at 5:30.   No eating after 6pm   

Also I did 30min of rowing a day and when it wasn't freezing outside i walked my dog as much as i could 

 

I think maintaining will be easy.  I basically will just have larger dinners and maybe increase the calories of snacks.  I have no desire to eat anything different like ever than what I listed because i feel fantastic.  I am going to try to get down to 210-220 Before I start my maintenance diet.  

Holy crap I missed a lot! I totaly missed weigh day and I knew it, and now all of a sudden its tuesday? well I weighed saturday at 185.5 down a pound from the week before but we'll see what happens this friday lol.

Thankyou all for your best wishes and what nots. Im feeling much better now. I really appreciate everyones advice for healthy snacks at work. I dont think I expressed the craziness lol. The store I work at has gone way down hill with everything, customer service, theres huge problems with theft and waste, tons of complaints, sick calls, plus its super busy! I cant really snack while I work. Ive been at the location for 2 weeks and I dont think Ive ever had a night when I left before 1am(closes at 10), or a night with no sick calls. I knew it was going to be a project but I had no idea. Plus the GM is a total **** and no help to me... Anyways!

There are so many new people and posts I dont even know where to begin! Congrats to everyone thats lost and everyone else thats trying! 

I had a really bad cold and now bronchitis but Im breathing better now lol so I think Ill do some cardio tomorrow ease back into things and then go hard till our friends wedding and my brides maids dress. I dont know what Im going to do about work. eating healthy is so important! maybe Ill quit! haha 

theferet - How is your account set up on CC?  Is it set at sedentary and you add in that you walk briskly for 6 hours of exercise every day?  If you do, that's probably giving you a veeerrry large amount of extra calories that you can eat.  I would suggest setting it at slight to moderate exercise and only adding in any extra exercise that you do.  Such as a treadmilll or lifting weights.  That'll probably give you a better projection of what your intake of calories should be daily.

I work in an office most of the time, sometimes out on site, but I set my account at sedentary and only add in when I actually carve out time and exercise (ususally 45 minutes of brisk walking a day)
