Ive battled with my weight my whole life(if you want to know more you can check out my profile)and Im looking for people like me out there, close to my age who can relate to what I am going through. Im doing the 12 week exercise program and so far Im doing really good (just finished day 8)! I would love to get a group together to share progress and challenges and failures etc. Anyone?
starting weight 196
last week 174.5
this week 173.5
total loss of 22.5lbs and 48.5lbs more to go. holy crap!
I am slowly inching my way down to the 160s...slowly. Im starting a 2 week challenge today. My friend and I are going to eat as healthy as possible and exercise as much as possible and see who can loose more weight. I think it will be me because I have more to loose than she does.
Welcome all new people! There is always room for more people. Has anyone else noticed less people on weigh day? oh well at least some of us are sticking with it!
rosterhome i am so glad you figured out what the problem was. Thats a huge stepping stone when you can identify the problem and make the appropriate changes. good for you! theferet dont sweat it (sweat it out lol) we all have our bad weeks. BigBrett your losses are amazing and almost scary. I hope you and your doctor are together on this, you dont want to damage yourself! Joelle we are like neck and neck. Keep it up!!!! VRJensen youre doing great! how close are you to your goal??
Good luck for the next week! (wish me luck on my challenge!)
Congrats to everyone who has lost this week! And good luck kirsten with your challenge! I have the flu. So, the only excercise I am getting is channel surfing. I have not been eating well at all either. It's really hard to eat anything with such a sore throat and the walk to the kitchen seems so long.....yesterday I only ate 1100 calories, and my RMR is somewhere around the 1600 range. I did manage to find the scale this morning, though.
Last week: 174.2
This week: 173.6
Goal: 135
My weigh in for last friday....Mar 7....
prior week: 155.2
This week: 156.4
Just as i expected, i gained. Getting a gym pass today...and things are starting to come together at the house....going to have to step it up to get back to where i was going...not making the best decisions eating wise.....on track today though... ![]()
Yup, my choices this past weekend were not good. Pizza two nights, popcorn shrimp and Hooters buffalo wings..mmm and a good amount of wine.
My fiance and I decided that after St. Patrick's Day we're going to not drink alcohol for a month, which will be great because my first wedding gown fitting is next month and I think it will really help me to avoid the intake of those extra 'empty' calories and the snack food that usually accompanies them! I'll weigh-in tomorrow morning b/c I forgot to on Friday.
Congrats to those who keep losing. To those of us trying to get back on track - we can do it, we just need to not give up!
You guys are Rocking! Just weighed in today 221.4! WE finally posted our last biggest Friggin' Loser episode http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vcziy_DDUi8 I am still trying to get in the middle of my BMI this site tell me I need to be 204-210 slowly catching it.
I like that St. Patrick's Day idea! I'm also noticing I spend sooo much more money on junk food/eating out it's nice when I can stick that $15 in the piggy bank instead of giving it to the takeout delivery dude.
Sorry, long time no post. I weighed myself and I am still 125.5. I guess when you don't exercise your weight doesn't budge.
My big scary time-draining project ends tomorrow night so here's hoping I feel moer able to concentrate on healthy eating and exercising starting Thursday morning. Char is your "getting back on track" working? Glad to see others are slowly but surely getting there too :)

missed weigh day. I also had guests. A girl friend from out of town and my other girl friend who just left her boyfriend. needless to say it was not a good week food wise and I probably gained about 3 pounds. But I didnt weigh myself. I started out the week really good too, lots of cardio...then down the drain. oh well, back at it this week.
Just joined recently...i'm in my late 20's...here's my stats:
Height: 6'0
start Weight: 188
Target Weight this year: 195
Target Weight next year: 183
Body fat: about 6.5 percent right now
Target body fat: 5%
I was an international track athlete untill I tore my hamstring at the Olympic trials...it took 2 years for it to heal, but I never returned to track. I started building cars, and drifting them, and now I also do Kyokushin Karate (been doing it for 15months now). I like this because it's 100% authentic and 100% real(no pads or gloves...bare knuckle knockdown Karate), and now that i'm a fighter, I'm really really relizing how strong the human body is. my goal is to be able to see an 8 pack of abs...something that I've had only in my highschool years as a young runner. lol
Potter :)
stupid easter chocolates, someone get them away from me!!
good to hear from everyone, looks like we're all making some serious progress, way to go! welcome eddie! i must say you're simply my inspiration, which olympics were you trying out for? sucks to hear about any injury but way to go on committing yourself to such a powerful form of karate....my goal is also to be able to see your 8 pack of abs :) keep us posted!
Hey everybody, looks like everyone has been doing pretty good keep up the good work. Here are my usual shout outs, Jstone, Kirsten, Joelle, SCarter, theferet, and of course BigBrett. CharDickinson weight loss can be funny like that sometimes, congrats on staying on track and not getting discouraged by phantom weight gain
I'm still maintaining under 140 fluctuates between 138 and 140 throughout the week. I have gotten a lil lazy and dropped down to working out only 3 times a week. My eating habits got pretty bad for a lil while but I'm getting a handle on it now. I don't binge any more, but I definitely treat myself when I want something special.
Welcome to all the newbies, Eddie
I miss checkin with ya'll I may have to start back up
It was the trials for the Sydney Austrailia games. yeah it sucks, but i'm on a new mission.
Yeah Kyokushin is known as the stongest Karate....I've seen large men and women come into the dojo to train, and after a year of training and proper eating, they usually exceed their goals.
OSU!!!

Weigh day...
I did not get back on track this week. At all. Im up 1 pound to 175.5, not a huge gain but still. Come on Kirsten get back in the game! lol. Anyways good luck to the rest of you. Im sure you are all doing great!
Im moving to an apartment upstairs at the end of the month. I just decided this today so I really dont have a lot of time, maybe in all the chaos Ill loose a pound or two. Bonus more stairs!
smooooches
PS welcome Eddie
Last Week: 172.0
This Week: 171.6
I started working out again this week. I hadn't worked out in two weeks because I had the flu, so I definately feel better about that. I've also been messing with my calorie intake a bit. I read somewhere on this site that you should eat your BMR, and then half of what you burn working out. Obviously, that equation isn't working for me. I also had my TOM this week, so it was a struggle to eat right. A loss is still a loss though.
Kirsten- You can do it. Moving will definately help. Bringing everything up the stairs and packing and unpacking burns a lot of calories.
