Ive battled with my weight my whole life(if you want to know more you can check out my profile)and Im looking for people like me out there, close to my age who can relate to what I am going through. Im doing the 12 week exercise program and so far Im doing really good (just finished day 8)! I would love to get a group together to share progress and challenges and failures etc. Anyone?
I'm 26, I've also had a lifelong battle with weight, and it wasn't until I started my lifestyle change last April, that I look back to realize most of the battle in my teen age years was all in my head.
I started last April at 245lbs, as of today I'm at 210 - My goal is 175 before this October, so I have 35lbs to go. After that I'm aiming for 150 by summer 2009, but I don't want to weigh less than 130, that would be my limit...
anyway - i'm located in Wisconsin, just 30 miles north of Milwaukee! :)
Last Week: 170.8
This Week: 168.8 ![]()
I'm excited! This was a big week for me. I ran for the first time in many many years. I didn't do a whole lot, ran for 1 minute, walked for three, ran for one, walked for three until I had run ten minutes total. I also lost weight when my husband was in Iraq, I was down to 169, and then gained some back, so now I feel like I'm finally caught up to that and moving forward.
cjeka- welcome to the group!
brett- Way to go!
Jessica I am so happy for you! I cant wait to be in the 160s again. I bet you feel great! Good job Brett, as always! I wish I had your will power. Congrats Eddy youre getting there eh? woah Canadian girl comin out. lol.
Start weight 196.5
Last week 175.5
This week 173.5
its time to buckle down. I had bridesmaids dress fitting the other day and while it fits it could fit better around the tummy. So Im concentrating on tons of cardio, lots of crunches and lots of tricep exercises as its a haulter style dress.
welcome cjeka. stick around, we get lots of new posters that say they want to join and then never come back. our group gets smaller every week!
Hey i'm lizzy I'm 21 and am new here! Since joining ive lost 3lbs which is really good, I think it's really helpful to write everything down!
I am just about to start my final exams at university so although i'm going to really try and keep on track I might fall off quite spectacularly! I remember last year ordering so much takeaway after my bad exams!!!
Starting Weight: 190
Current Weight: 184.5
Originally, I was hoping to make it down to 160lbs by the time my friend came to visit so I wouldn't be ashame of taking her to a water park, but now I remember I have to go to a wedding in June. I always hate how I look in dresses. But a dress is less revealing than a bathing suit.
welcome newbies. this group is supportive and will help in any way we can. so welcome.
now weigh in time.
SW: 320 lbs.
LAST WEEK: 244 lbs.
THIS WEEK: 243 lbs.
WEIGHT LOSS: 77 lbs.
so this seems like only a 1 pound loss, but really it's more like 4. i weighed in on friday at 244, but then had a pretty bad weekend full of bad food and lots o' drinking. so by monday, i was up to 247 again. so i have been working my butt off this week in the gym to get back down. so i am very happy with 243. so i am hoping to get down into the 230's within a week or two. that will be awesome. i haven't been in the 230's in almost 3 years.
i wish you all the best this week. until next week...

Where is everyone?
Well,
It happens right. Currently I am 21 years young :) and here is my progress.
August 2007 - 240lbs
Today - weighed in @ 159lbs.
I am 5'7" and really hope to hit 150 soon. This sight is great and I really enjoy reading reading up and leaRning new things. I think I should post up some pics pretty soon as the change is dramatic. In a good way of course.
Either way, hang in there. We have the rest of our lives to live to worry too much about a 1lb fluctuation.
Thanks to everyone and good luck...![]()
I have no progress thus far.
Starting Weight: 190lbs
Last week: 184.5lbs
This week: 184.5lbs
I did have stomach problems the begining of this week, but now I feel much better and my weight returned back to normal. However, on a good note, I lost another inch on my bust and waist. I am now 38 - 35.5 - 42. I'm still so very far, but it hasn't been a month yet so I still have plenty of time. But now I think my goal of 170lbs by June 12th might not happen. Oh well.
Hey guys, I think I missed last week... but I didn't move very far :) I had a bad coup0le weeks of eating wayyy too much chocolate. I think I've got it out of my system now though. So in 2 weeks I've gone from 169.5 to 168.5. I'll take it, it's still a loss, even though it could have and should have been more :) Plus I turn 28 in 2 days so we'll probably go out to eat somewhere. At least I won't have to cook!
Well, I'm back
I weighed myself Friday at 146. I'm going to start back on my diet this week, not as strict as I was before but, no more pizza, no more cake and ice cream, and drinking my water, and starting to run for my cardio (i didn't work out at all last week) I really don't think I gained 6 lbs so this Friday will be my "official" starting weight THIS time. My original goal weight was 140, which I successfully hit a few months ago, so I think I'm gonna start with that same goal and then try another 5 to get to 135. Even though everyone says I don't need to lose any weight I kinda wanna see how small I can get (does that sound as stupid in my head as when I typed it?)
Hey everyone! Sorry I missed weigh day. I just worked 10 days in a row and had the bachelorette party on Saturday so Ive been crazy busy. I did weigh myself on friday though. 172.5 down one tiny pound lol. But still a loss right? I need more energy, maybe take some energy supplements or something... I work such long days all I want to do in my free time is sleep lol. I can not wait to be in the 160's again. I think that will motivate me a lot. Who knows! lol.
Anyways it seems our group gets smaller every week and a little less motivated. We all know if we eat healthy and exercise regularly we will see results. Why is that so hard to do?
I wish everyone the best of luck this week and Im sending you all a kick in the ass from the motivation ferry. Lets get in gear!
Hey guys,
I've been so busy lately i don't even know what's going on!!! I finally weighed myself the other day, and my pants were telling the truth...i gained weight
So as of last week and I guess today I'm back at 161. Horrible. Not doing anything for two months (well a month and a half) can really pack on everything you've lost. I'm going on holidays in a month and am really mad at myself, but i'm going to try hard to lose at least 5 pounds before then. i just walked home from work last night which i think is quite the improvement in my exercise (it took an hour and a half to get home, quite a ways away) So i've made up a little notebook for myself, writing down everything i eat and my lowest weight (mar 14, 154.8 measurements were 11.75(arms) 36.75(chest) 28.5(waist) 41(hips) 23.25(thighs)) This will keep me pretty motivated I think as long as i look at it everyday and keep my progress going. I'm only up an inch everywhere from then so it shouldn't be too hard to take it off.
Congrats to everyone that is still going hard with achieving thier goals, you are all great motivation for everyone else. ![]()
Ok, so it's not Friday, and I'm not weighing, but I just have to share my news. I went to the gym today for the first time in ages. (I've been working out at home, using the elliptical in our apartment complex, and going for walks around the neighborhood and such...) Well, two weeks ago, I started to run a little bit. I would run for a minute, walk for 3, and repeat until I had run for ten minutes. Last, week, I got up to 12 minutes. Well, today, I went to the gym, got on the treadmill, set the speed to a slow run, and ran for an entire mile! I didn't stop once! Then, I walked for four minutes, and ran for another half mile! I feel like I just won the lottery! This is amazing!!!![]()
So here's the shot version of my story:
Always been a littl chubby, started trying to lose weight seriously for the first time last spring, started at about 180 and by fall made it down to 132, I LOVVVVED the way I looked and felt but was getting crazy obsessed with counting calories, so I took a one week break from doing so. Well that one week break stretched on and on... I started binging when the idea of going back to calorie-counting felt too difficult... Long story short, I kept eating way too much on a normal basis, and binging at least a few times per week...and I gained back about 30 of the 50 lbs I lost. Now I'm at about 160 and feel awful about the way I look. So far this week I've gone without binging for 3 days, and I'm determined to never do it again. I want so desperately to get back to the "skinny me", so I'm doing this calorie counting thing again.
Hopin you all can help support me and I will do the same for you.
Congrats on the mile run JStone!!!

Welcome Stormsrun
weighing in...
SW: 320 lbs.
LAST WEEK: 243 lbs.
THIS WEEK: 239 lbs.
LOSS: 4 lbs.
TOTAL: 81 lbs.
this feels so much better than the past weeks. the last time i lost weight, i got stuck in the 230's for months and then gained it all back. i only got into the 220's one week, so i am back to where i was over 3 years ago. i can't believe it. i feel so good and proud of myself for sticking with this and never giving up. i have only a little over 50 pounds left until my goal. these 50 will be the hardest, but i'm ready for the challenge.
welcome stormsrun to the group. we are delighted to have you. good luck everyone.
