Ive battled with my weight my whole life(if you want to know more you can check out my profile)and Im looking for people like me out there, close to my age who can relate to what I am going through. Im doing the 12 week exercise program and so far Im doing really good (just finished day 8)! I would love to get a group together to share progress and challenges and failures etc. Anyone?
hello everyone. i missed this past friday's weigh in. and i am going to miss this upcoming friday too so i figured i'd chime in today. i weighed in this past friday at 196. and then got up to 197 by monday. things had really been stalling for me. but these past few days i've really stepped it up and i weighed in this morning at 193. so i really hope i can stay at this weight throughout the weekend. i am going to san diego with my mom and i'm sure we'll be eating out every meal, every day. so i really need to be careful. it shall be a challenge.
but other than that, things are going well. i had my biggest cheat day in months on saturday. ate a ton and loved every second of it. i think that day was what sparked a loss for me now. shocked my body into losing again. i tend to have to do that every once in a while. which, of course, i don't mind doing. haha.
way to go everyone for losing. and pumpkin, i am almost to where you are and i kind of know what you mean about how confusing maitaining will be. i started thinking about it and it is going to be really weird. but for now, i need to concentrate on these last pounds. i am losing time and i need to be losing pounds too. so hopefully this weekend will go better than antipaticed and i will be back with less than 10 to go. that would be nice.
wish me luck everyone. see you all next week!

GRRR! Weigh in Day
SW: 151.?
LW: 142.2
TW: 144.6
Ok since my 10K I have been being a lazy bump on a log not working out eating whatever, whenever. Next week I'm going to pull it together.
Hi again,
I forgot to post yesterday, but I weighed in at 124, so that's still about right. So far, so good.
Brett - good luck on your vacation. I'm sure you'll be fine, because I'm sure you have a pretty good handle on the healthy eating thing! How exciting that you are so near your goal!
Amayou82 - sorry to hear that you had a disappointing week, but I would want to be lazy after a 10K, too. I am training for a 5K (which is a month from now!!) and I think I'll probably pass out for a week after! I'm sure you'll be able to get back on the wagon this week!
Is this your fisrt 5K Pumpkin? I wish I would have started with a 5K but I jumped right in there and it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, but it took a toll on my feet and knees so I'll probably committ to doing a couple of 5K's a year.

THIS WEEK: 189 lbs.
WEEK LOSS: 3 lbs.
TOTAL LOSS: 131 lbs.
Well I have reached the 180's and I'm pumped. I did pretty good on my vacation. When I left I was right around 190 and I came back at 192. And in the past 5 days I've dropped those 2 and an additional pound. So I am very thrilled. Another weekend is here and I have to stay on track and do well. I need to make sure that I can keep the weekend's from getting out of control so that I don't do damage to my good weeks.
2 and a half weeks to go with now 4 pounds left. It's really happening. Wow.

Well, so much for posting on Friday...but I did weigh in on Friday, and I was 124, so that's about right. Today my weight was way low actually, because I had 3 POTS of hot tea with dinner last night and it dehydrated me BIG TIME! I felt like crap today, but now I know that if I need to lose 3 pounds in one day, that's one way to do it...
Amayou82- Yep, it's my first 5K. I am actually thinking about doing one on the 5th and taking it easy as prep for the "real" 5K I am doing on the 12th. I usually run on a treadmill and I know I need to practice running more outside. What have you been doing to take care of your feet and knees? My left knee is crap and it ALWAYS hurts after a run. Dunno what to do except take more advil.
Brett- Only 4 pounds left. WOW!!! You are doing it! Congrats!
Pumpkin There wasn't much I could do for my feet, I tried everything to the point where I was wrapping all of my toes in Moleskin but I still got blisters. As far as my knees I've just been resting, running/jogging is a high impact sport so you pretty much just have to toughen up. If there are any running tips you'll find them in the fitness room. Wish I could be more help.
Congrats Brett we now have almost the same amount to lose. How does it feel to be almost at your goal? Are you fearful of "maintaining"? WHat's something you are gonna do to reward yourself?
time for the greatest weigh in of all...
SW: 320 lbs.
LAST WEEK: 189 lbs.
THIS WEEK: 185 lbs.
WEEK LOSS: 4 lbs.
TOTAL LOSS: 135 lbs.
i'm finally here. i've reached my goal and with a week and a half to spare. it feels so amazing to finally see that magical number i dreamed up so long ago on the scale. now comes the hard part. maintaining.
to answer your questions amayou, i am very fearful of maintaining. it's a whole new way of life. i have to eat more and i feel almost guilty for doing it. it's going to take some time to perfect the maintanence role. but hopefully i can do it. that's my next real goal. to maintain. i'm not quite sure how to reward myself for losing all the weight. a new wardrobe would be a good start. with my birthday coming up, i'm hoping to get lots of clothes/giftcards for clothes. that would be good.
but anyways, i just wanna thank all of you that have been here throughout my journey. you have helped in ways you don't even know. just having to weigh in every week and be accountable is such a huge step in this weight loss. i'll still be around and check in on you all. thanks again so much! you are all the greatest.

CONGRATS, BRETT! You are so amazing! I hope you are very proud.
Best of luck with maintenance. I'm sure you'll do great -- if you stay committed, you'll have no problem. If you ever want to talk maintenance, I'd love to hear from you!
And for my weigh-in, I'm still at 124.5...and I'm only 2 weeks from my 5K. I began running 5K on Wednesday and now I'm working on building speed.
I knew you'd reach your goal before me lol. Congrats Brett. I'm hoping I'll make my goal by Nov 1st. I've started back in the gym 3 times a week and I'm gonna start back logging my food and weighing in. I'm hoping this lil break I took will help me stay committed for the next month.
Pumpkin how was the 5K?
Congrats to the incredible shrinking man MediumBrett.
I didn't jump back on track like I planned to Nov 1st, but I feel it coming, the motivation I need.
hey guys, i'm 23 yrs old, male, asian american, 5'7 and 156 lbs, i'm trying to get down to 140lbs. Just saying hi....
