Does anyone have tips for losing 10 pounds fast? I want to los eit before school starts at the end of august. i currently am 4foot 8inches and weigh around 90 pounds. i want to have a fresh start. a lot of my friends are like sticks and they eat SO much and only play one sport. i play lots of sports and im currently doing a workout camp with one of my friends. i think i appear bigger because of my larger hips. im hoping that losing weight will help slim them down. does anyone have the same problem? any tips on losing weight and or reducing hip size?

How old are you?......  I see from another post that you're talking about losing weight 'before school starts'.  If you're a teenager that's just short for her age it's normal that your body is going through a lot of changes in preparation for growth.  'Hip fat?'.... I doubt it.    At 90lbs and 4'8" you're a perfectly healthy weight (BMI 20) and presumably you're still growing -  so your idea about losing 10lbs is a peculiar one.

I also see in another post that you're planning 1200 cals a day.  A completely sedentary, inactive teen needs 1500 cals a day minimum just to stand a chance of functioning normally.... If you'd like to grow taller & stronger, severe calorie restriction isn't going to help you do that.  Aim for more like 1700-2000 cals a day and if your hips really are an issue, do more exercise.  See this chart.... http://www.bcm.edu/cnrc/bodycomp/bmiz2.html

you weigh 90 pounds, please don't lose 10 pounds

you cannot change your bone structure. Be proud that you have muscle and stamina. Too many girls spend time dwelling on the appearance of their bodies rather than the function/health. I used to weigh 135 at 5'8, and I had good posture and strength. That was in high school, before developing various eating disorders. Now I weigh about 110 pounds and cannot even ride my bike down the driveway without every muscle aching. As a way to disengage from your "ideal" self image, consider trying Bikram Yoga. The yoga itself will lengthen the strong muscles you already have, and encourage you to relax in your body rather than detach from it.
