Weight Loss
Moderators: duke3522, devilish_patsy, topanga1485, nycgirl, spoiled_candy, cmillington, coach_k Has anyone tried Dexatrim Max2O?
I keep seeing commercials for that Dexatrim Max2O weight loss powder you put in your water. Anyone tried it? I brushed it off at first because it had the "Dexatrim" brand name, and that's a definite no-no in my head, but it's Ephedra- and stimulant-free.
So..?
So..?
a few words for you..
diet pills don't work.

Ali we're friends...I'm formerly lizzlebizzle.
I was freaked out because it was Dexatrim, too. It's not a pill. It looks more like a Crystal Light thing more than anything.
It probably IS just Crystal Light with "Dexatrim" written in Sharpie on the front. :P No, but seriously, just wondering.

lizzle...no. just no.
Look at this! When you have a stroke from taking Dexatrim or Accutrim, there's a Personal Injury Attorney, just waiting to help you!
*siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiighs* Jesus. Here we go. I asked if anyone had TRIED it. Not if anyone would get on my case about something they HADN'T tried. There's no PPA in this. That's why the "Dexatrim" brand-name is misleading.

There's nothing in it that would help you lose weight. Why not just take flavored, artificially colored baking soda (sodium bicarbonate)? It would be a lot cheaper.
nope. havent tried it, i havent even tried crystal light, lol!

"This product contains 50 mg of caffeine per serving (equivalent to approximately one-half cup of coffee)."
Do they actually claim no stimulants?
Drink more coffee. The odd cup of green tea. I bet it tastes better.

I personally have not used it but I have a friend that has and she said there was absolutely 0 result. Then I gave her the "speech" about whole foods and diet pills do not work ;-)
I haven't tried it, but I have tried hoodia and I like it. And please, no preaching unless it's asked for.
I have tried hoodia as well and I like it. Even if it doesn't work the mentally part helps me think its working. no side effects if you get the kind that only has the hoodia in it.
Since you probably won't get much other than more of 'don't do it' responses, you may want to peruse this discussion thread. It talks about different kinds of supplements, diets to vitamins. More people who responded have tried one thing or another and will give you insights from both sides, other than just the big n-o.
P.S. I tried looking into reviews on this specific product you post, but I cant find any yet that is unbiased.
How are you doing with your weight loss/fitness goal so far? Progressing? Stalling? Nothing? If its still going, I'd say don't fix something that is not broken. But, I know how it feels with all the bombardment of ads out there and industry-generated claims :)

Thanks, guys. I'm doing fine with weight loss. I'm at my goal weight, I just like to look at the fad stuff...what works, what doesn't. I'm an info junkie, I guess. I could lose two pounds, but...it's two pounds. Hahaha. I'm a little bored with my water, though, and I like to have something to get me through when I'm stuck at school on my "long" days. (Tuesdays and Thursdays) I might try this, just for the energy boost -- doesn't stain teeth like coffee. (Hopefully.)
hahaha sorry liz. There's just been a lot of these threads lately. I wasn't really paying attention when I responded.
I've wondered about the dexatrim drink as well but it doesnt seem to appealing. i drink a ton of water and usually thats it besides my morning coffee.. i also take supplements that work for me as well..like hydroxcut..keeps me energized and helps the weight come off while eating healthy and exercising..i also take one a day vitamin all day energy, and that really works in my opinion and i take water pills and that also helps me with the water weight. i do believe im going to buy some hoodia after doing alot of research and it has to be pure hoodia in at least 500mg only.
I was soooo burned out on plain H20, I was having a hard time even choking it down anymore. I tried Propel fitness water. I am completely hooked. It's fabulous. I drink 4-5 24 oz bottles while I'm at work, and another one or two once I'm home. I'm back to peeing every 15 minutes! Great! Oh, its got 30 calories, 100 mg of sodium, 6 grm sugar, and lots of vitamins in the big bottle. The lemonade and mandarin are my favs! Might be cheaper than dexatrim too...
My friend took dexatrim max and died from it!!! So I would recommend getting off of it! lol... okay, not a funny joke... but she did take it and it didn't do anything... and it's not a "diet pill" It's comparable to those applecider vineagar pills.... I'm a health freak, and have always been... I shop at Trader Joe's... and I like the organic stuff... someone suggested I take CLA... and it's a good supplement if you're doing all the right things... it doesn't suppress your appetitie... or anything like that... it naturally helps you lose weight.... also I take sea kelp too... it's supposed to be a natural weight loss supplement for women....
The CLA is kind of spendy... but... the Sea Kelp isn't... I would try those instead ;)

Sea kelp, huh? hm.... I am taking CLA now. well, may be I will try stocking kelp again... thing is, they smell so strong LOL. Oh wait you talking fresh kelp (like used in korean style broth) or pills? LOL
yeah, they actually have little tiny pills you can buy at GNC. You can get a small bottle with 200 pills (you only take one a day) and it's only like $5 or something... this bottle has lasted me a while so I don't remember.
I've tried it. It actually isn't really a diet pill to me. It's more of an energy drink. It definitely gives you energy I'll tell you that. Forget Red Bull and that other stuff. You won't lose weight from just taking it though. It doesn't have a bad taste but it isn't amazing either. A lot of reviews said that it gave them headaches but I haven't had any of that. It says to take up to 6 a day (2 in each 16.9 ounces of water) but I only take 2 a day and that is definitely enough. Any more than 4 I would think would make it hard to fall asleep. I take them in the morning and I'm still pretty awake by 1:00 a.m. Be careful with it though! If you start having a high increase in your heart rate for no reason stop taking it right away. Also, I don't know about anyone else, but it makes me feel a little drunk for a little bit. Kind of dizzy and spacy. It doesn't make you too dizzy though so functioning isn't a problem. Good luck!
