...the Eat-Clean diet??
Hi I'm new here and am wondering about what kinds of weight-loss programs others have tried and what's worked for you??
I'm trying the Eat-Clean Diet right now (almost been a month) and I basically eat foods that have not been processed or have extra preservatives added, you know the healthy stuff!! I just eat smaller portions 5-6 times a day and it's been working pretty well so far!
I'm wondering if anyone else has tried it and what else has worked for you as I'm getting a bit nervous for the holiday season coming up and would prefer to be a bit smaller than larger by the end of December!
I haven't tried it but I'm definitely interested! Have you found it difficult to maintain?
If anyone has any other information, I want to hear about it, too :)
It hasn't been hard at all so far. I have the workout book (The Eat-Clean Diet Workout) and the new cookbook (Tosca Reno's Eat Clean Cookbook).
The workout is really easy to follow at home. It's detailed and it can work around my schedule easily at home. (I'm apprehensive about going to a gym just yet! Maybe after losing a few more pounds!) And I love the cookbook as I've been making most of my meals from it to get into the habit of what's considered clean and what's not. I love trying new foods (maybe that's what got me here in the first place!) but there's great recipes for Mexican, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, curries, the usual stuff a some great desserts that I haven't felt cheated at all and I haven't been going hungry because I eat smaller portions every few hours.
(I know I sound like an ad for it now but like I said it's been almost a month and I really like it so far!)
I try to eat clean when I can and I have a couple of Tosca's books. I haven't made anything from them though. Everything seems to be so high in calories. Which is great if you are figure athlete and lift weights all day long. But I don't do that.
I do agree that eating clean is the best way to go!
Yes a lot of the foods have a bit of a higher calorie count because the actual program doesn't call for calorie counting. I've actually stopped counting calories now, I was before but wasn't disciplined enough to stick to it, I would always fall off the wagon!
But now I eat just the smaller portions 6 times a day so I don't calorie count anymore! It was just time to try something new and so far it's working! Clean eating is definitely making me feel better about myself too!
Why do I get bad cramps after I eat?
Suspect lactose intolerance when abdominal cramps are a problem, especially after breakfast when milk products are consumed. Lactose... Read more
