Has anyone tried PB2? I need ideas PLEASE!

Quote  |  Reply

Has anyone ever tried PB2? The powdered peanut butter that you mix with water? I know it sounds gross but I just got some and it is actually delicious!  It is only 50 calories for two tablespoons and three grams of fat but it tastes like normal peanut butter (almost) Amazing huh?

So iwas wondering if anyone who has some knows any good recipees to use it in or ways to eat it? I put some powder in my protein shake with chocolate whey protein, milk, and banana and that was awesome. Of course there's the sandwhich, any other ideas?

Sounds to me like you could make a great Thai-style peanut sauce for marinading or salad dressing. Just substitute it for the peanut butter.

I will paste this that I posted yesterday:

1 tbsp PB2
1 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1 packet of Splenda
2 generous tsp water

Mix it all together, and VOILA!  An absolutely delicious chocolate/peanut butter spread, a good amount for only 36 calories and 1 gram of fat.  The chocolate taste is dominant, believe it or not.  I almost died when I discovered this.  I love to spread it on plain bananas or to make sandwiches out of it with bananas.  It would also be great with apple slices or fresh strawberries!  Use your imaginations... hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Oh my gosh! That sounds SOOOO good! I think i'll go upstairs and try it right now! Hey i have another question, come to think of it! How do you guys log PB2 into your calorie count? I noticed that it doesn't come up when i search for it. Is there another way to enter it in? Thanks!

Plug PB2 in manually and tag it. That's how I log mine :)

As for recipes, they have a ton on their website:

Where can we get it?   Do they have it all all grocery stores or do you go somewhere special?  Sorry if I sound ignorant I have never heard of this until now :)

Yep it's only sold online, and I believe you have to buy a minimum of 4 jars. I don't remember! When I bought mine, I got 6 jars, and I am still trying to work my way through it :)

You can buy it at some stores. Just bought mine today at my local Hyvee from there health food section. OMG, this stuff is so good. I used it to spread on my carrots and celary. It was an awsome lunch.

on the food log screen on the right side there is a link to add foods.

Does anyone know if they supply to the UK? All the prices on the website are in dollars so I'm wondering if they'll ship internationally.

Thanks! I found the link.  As for shipping internationally, i'm not sure. But you could check their link for FAQ's and if it's not there send them an email. I sent an email when my order was late and they actually emailed me back that week!  That's impressive for any company!Smile
