Anyone Up for a Jillian Michaels' "30 Day Shred" Challenge?
I've got the dvd, have done level 1 some before, just not consistantly. If anyone is interested in starting the 30 Day Shred, join in. I think Monday would be a great day to start. I'll post what else I'm doing apart from the 30 Day Shred as well. I'll go ahead and post my current stats. I'll add measurements this weekend. And if anyone wants to join, please do so. If not, I'll keep this posted so people can see the results.

As far as goals from this DVD, just want to see what it will do as far as strength and toning. Like I said, I plan to keep to my workouts at the YMCA while I'm doing this so I can blast the last bit of fat I have.
Hey there, I have the DVD and have done it maybe 3 times... I'll start today with you and see how many times I can do it for the 30days... I always do 2 workouts, not 1...My stats are:
CW - 140
GW - 132 (by March 14)
35 years 5'4
I also jump rope and run/walk/jog/hike and I do the Cardio Max BL DVD...but I'm gonna try to be more consistent with this dvd and see what the results will be. So I will join ya'... I'm trying to get back down to my normal size of 124 pounds that's my happy weight... also, size 4, now I'm at about 7/8 someday's size 6 ![]()

I will be doing this everyday and trying to throw in other activities such as weights, cycling, dance mat etc on top of my everyday activites!
Count me in! I got this about 5 days ago. did the first workout and couldn't do anything for two days after that! man it is quite a workout! I did it again yesterday and it wasn't as bad. One tip I learned from my anatomy teacher is to drink LOTS of water!! it helps flush out certain chemicals that give you sore muscles the day after a workout.

My goal is about 115lbs (give or take) and just mostly to be fit and strong.
Are you guys going to do this workout every day? I think im going to need a rest in between (not to mention school and stuff getting in the way).

We don't get this DVD here in the UK.. although i have heard about it and found some of it on youtube... my question is... what is the idea here? we do a level 1 20 min workout every day? or every other day? then move up levels as the body allows? i might consider buying it from amazon and having it shipped over if this 'sample' goes well.

Im from UK! You can stream it from YouTube, thats what i do! Check it now and you'll see...level 1 seems to be a mix of cardio and weights...very good i find!

I think that I am in pretty good shape but have a lot of baby weight that needs to go!!! I have been doing the cc for 2 weeks and have lost 5 lbs

Hey guys
So I missed my workout yesterday, I did Level 2 and 3 Sat. My shoulders and legs are a little sore, but not my bum, so I need to work out a bit harder today. On to day 2 of the Shred for 40mins including Jump Rope...
so I'm going to say 2/30 down so far...
Unfortunately I won't get to start until tomorrow as I have had a project for university that I had to finish today (thanks to my procrastination of course, or bad time management, whichever). So, as I need to get off as I have class in just a bit, I really will post my measurements and goals and do workout 1 tomorrow. AWESOME JOB to everyone who's doing this though! Just keep at it!
I'm not doing this everyday.. way too hard on my muscles (particularly my thighs and bum!) But i've done level one 4 times since i got it. great workout. it qualifies as "circuit training" under cc activities, so i can even log in the activity (i personally burn about 200 cals doing this!! yippee!).
I will move on to level 2 when i can do all the advanced versions of the workouts on level one. (the pushups are a killer... i have no upper body strength).
My weight is up quite a bit (up to 129 from 124!! trying not to freak out) , but it is TTOTM for me.......
day one, level one last night - legs hurt today. thighs especially, it hurts to get out of my chair to go to the watercooler... must drink more water though... thighs hurt... must mean i'm making more muscle though (i hope!)

Am going to do Day 1, Level 1 today. Good luck everyone and keep up the good work! Can't wait to see how we all did when we finished. Also, as a note, I am doing my best to stick to Jilian's "Making the Cut" eating plan. So, less carbs for me as they make up most of what I eat and I know that would help me out. I'm aiming for a 40% carb, 30% protein, 30% fats (or maybe less fat and more protein). So, we'll see how it goes. Have a great day!
Oh yeah, and my goals. Okay...
By March 20th - lose 1" on waist (28"), 1" on abs (33"), weight to 136 lbs
By June - lose 3" on waist (26"), 3" on abs (31"), weight to 130 lbs
Also, want to tone up my triceps, tummy, glutes, and hamstrings (forget the quads, mine are too much muscle already). I need to take some before, during, and after pics. I've always been bad about that, and I really wish I had some before pics when I weighed 167 lbs so I could see how far I've come when I really get depressed. So, this time, I'm going to do it. And I have a Victoria's Secret giftcard for a swimsuit that I'm working for, so I'm going to make sure that I work my butt off for that.
I really like this DVD. I have been doing it off and on for a couple of weeks. I can't do it every single day. I don't know how you could. I get really sore and need to take at least a day off (or I start saying mean things into the TV). I can see some muscle in my arms and my legs feel great. I definately need to get more consistant at doing it.
I don't know what you think but you might try doing level 1 one day, level 2 one day and then level 3 the next and keep alternating days. Each level is a little harder but they work different parts. I absolutely love level 3 it is hard but it has mostly core exercises. I have favorite moves in each level and some moves that I absolutely hate (pain) and changing days I almost look forward to doing it. I get really bored and dread doing the same one over and over. I can't imagine how sore I would be if I did 2 in one day (ouch!!!!). I totally suck at the pushups and still have to do the modified version and I have to change weights depending on what the exercise is.
I can't wait to hear how everyone does. My goal is to do it 6 days this week. Monday I did level 3 today I did level 1- I seem pretty sore today (is that good or bad?)

2/30 done! The workout was a little easier to get through today.
I also did another 15 minute ab workout and a 15 min arms workout (Tamilee).
I think I'm going to take Wednesday and either Saturday or Sunday off from strength/weight/circuit training. I was listening to Jillian's latest radio broadcast and she says to take at least one day as a rest day, preferably two, so your muscles have time to recover. I plan on doing a cardio workout on my two days off.
