Starting next saturday june 30th to july30th I am going to start my own challange.
I would like a loss of 10lbs by the end date.
I pledge to keep my fitness to at least 4 times a week an hour a day of whatever exercise of my choosing.
I pledge to eat a 'healthylivinglifestyle' ranging from 1200 cals per day to 1600 varying my exercise to the cal ratio.
I pledge to not binge on junk in the home or office and keep only to my 'healthyfood'
anyone may join the last day for joining would be june 30th.
Just add your start weight and ending weight for each week.
I will add mine starting june 30th.

I would love to start with you, I just joined today and have a lot of weight to lose and started counting calories today, I know it is going to be tough and I need motivationa and success stories to show me that I can do it.

I think I'll definitely join this! Hopefully it will keep me motivated!
However, do we have to lose 10lbs (or goal for 10) or can we do something a bit different? I'm new and haven't done one of these before.

Definetly. Yeah I've been pretty good with the calories part but not so much with the consistant cardio part. I go on my eliptical but I just get bored (there is a TV to watch, but it's small and far away) and distracted and end up just staring at my time/calorie counter until it hits my goal for the day. This challenge is going to give me enough motivation to work out at LEAST every other day (and for longer), intead of just 2-3 times a week.

goal for whatever you feel you need to if you want to lose a few lbs go for it we all end up usually losing whatever our bodies allow anyhow .

Ya, I am already doing a challenge but this one is short and will try this as well. If I could drop ten pounds that would be great. I have already dropped 2 lbs and 1 inch off my waist!
I'm in! I'm housesitting and won't be home until Sunday - is it okay if I post my weight on Sunday instead? Alternatively I can give you my weight from a few days ago, I doubt it will change much. It is 131.6. My goal is to lose 5 pounds by the end of July, bringing me to... 126.6. I'm not sure if that is possible, but we'll see. I will keep myself to healthy food and exercising when I can. I'm away a lot in July so I'm not sure how much I can do (housesitting, then visiting my boyfriend's parents (his mom makes GREAT food!), then housesitting again, then going on a road trip to visit my uncle in Idaho, back for a week, then down to Washington State to go camping!). I will be as disciplined as possible though.

maybe the measurements could be optional? I bet there are lots of people who would want to do it, to help with the motivation. But, maybe not make it *mandatory*?

Sounds like fun, and just the thing I need! I just jumped back into the dieting and working out, so this is the perfect motivation. :-D
Count me in, and I'm setting myself a 10 pound goal, BUT, because I know I tend to gain muscle before I lose fat, I'd like to say that in lieu of 10 pounds, I'd be happy with losing a dress size. :-D

Count me in too. I pledge to do all of the above. I lost 35 pounds doing all those things but for the past six months I've been losing and gaining the same ten pounds. I'm ready for this challenge.
Great thread. Count me in too! 10 pounds to lose in July. I'm working abroad for the summer, so not really near a scale, but will watch calories and try to get in enough exercise. Maybe guesstimate my weight? Or just get a scale...? Much luck to everyone!
I dont care guys whatever makes you happy while doing the challenge if you want to post your measurements pls do so along with all the weight. Im easy to get along with you will find and we are all in this challenge together.

TOm may make it better, what with the decrease in water weight and all.....But then again, you should start retaining again at the end tehee,
