Hi, I' fairly new here and was just cerious if I am the only one from Upstate NY? I live near Utica, right off the threw-way between Albany and Syracuse. Anyone even know where that is?? LOL It just seems that I am the only one in NY state that has the internet lol, I can never find anyone on any of the sites I go on that live even in the same state, so I figured I would see if I was alone here too. :)

I'm from an hour and a half south of buffalo (almost on the PA border), go to school in Oneonta, and my boyfriend goes to school in Potsdam, so i like to think of the whole state as my home :-)
I'm from Troy. Hate it here. Originally from Syracuse, which wasn't much better, but I actually miss it there which doesn't say anything good about Troy.

I actually live in a suburb of Syracuse called Baldwinsville.
Born & raised in Ithaca, NY, & lived there most of my life. I now live in Groton, NY- which is 10 mins. from Ithaca- so I'm still an Ithacan-- howdy neighbor....

I have not lived in NY for a long time but was born in Medina went Barker for school. I lived in Niagara County until 1975. My late husband was raised in Jasper and yes I know where Utica is. My husband's ashes are buried in the cemetary at Jasper. I really miss Seeing everything in New York state not the city. I have fond memories of growing up on farms in New York. My favorite food stand was Reid's in Lockport. They have the best regular and white hots with sauce. It makes my mouth water just thinking about them. I don't know if beef on wicks are still available in Lockport or not but I know Reid's is still there.
Once a New Yorker always a New Yorker. I now live in Missouri.
I'd like to get some New Yorkers on my friends list as I only have two friends so far.
i'm from western new york does that count? i grew up in brockport and now live in williamsville and work in buffalo. i have heard of utica but i don't know that i have been there. i've been to albany and syracuse though so maybe i went through utica by chance. :)
Not living in upstate right now, but I graduated from Hamilton so I know the area well. I bet it's snowing in Utica right this minute.

Living LARGE but getting less in Syracuse everyday. I am new to the site and have had my up and downs. Unfortunately we live in the middle of Italian food galore. It becomes very easy to pack on the lbs. Good luck and hope to talk to you soon. D

Actually, let me amend what I wrote earlier: someone said they were from Baldwinsville; I had said that I'm originally from Syracuse, but I actually grew up in B'ville and lived there for ~18 yrs. :)

I lived in Syracuse for two years and loved it. Now I live in Houston, TX and hate it. I want to go back to Syracuse! My mom still lives up there so at least I have an excuse to go back. Maybe I will be able to live there again.
Buffalo born and bred...Williamsville specifically-and unless I seriously can't find a job when I graduate from law school, I'm not leaving!
