does anyone use a weighted vest or leg weights when working out?
Hi,
I have used the leg weights in the past and planning to use them again, I only use the 2lb because I want to shape my legs without looking too muscular. They give me that extra support and challenges the reverse crunches, really working my lower belly area, which needs so much support now. I also used the wrist onces as well.
First ask yourself how you are going to use this and why do you want it?
If it's just for wearing while walking, then you aren't going to get much out of it--you would be better off walking a faster pace or a more vigorous arm swing, or (on a treadmill) walking up a higher elevation. The best uses of a vest are to enhance a more dynamic activity: plyo movements, crossfit, sport conditioning, etc; an activity that requires use of the hands, changes in directions (e.g. combat training course); or body weight activity where you can already lift your body weight.
There are excellent uses for a vest--you just need to make sure it is the right "tool" to help you meet your goals.
How come I’m not losing weight?
