Anyone want to join me and lose 6 lbs by Feb 29?

Anyone want to join me? I thought it would be a good idea to set a small goal for myself so I can stay on track for my overall goal and try and lose 6 lbs by the end of Feb. Currently I weigh 175.8 and if I lose 6 lbs by the end of Feb that would put me in the 160's!!!! I haven't been there in a LONG time. I thought we would start tomorrow with the first weigh in and then post our weights every Monday, then our final weight Feb 29 which is a Friday. Also put your height, current weight and starting weight.

I'm so with all of you (although I have a lot more than 6 pounds to lose!) I am:

 42 years old

Height -  5'9"

Starting weight Jan. 13 -- 265 lbs.

Today -- 243 lbs.

Feb 29th goal -- 237 lbs!

Final goal -- 165 lbs

 Thanks for the motivation! (my daughter just came down and asked me if I wanted to get Chinese food with her -- this motivation came just in time!!!)

I read this a couple days ago and could not find the group till now...

I started at 191

I am at 187.6

I want to be at 155 by June 30th

I feel great....I need to stop weighing myself every other day...because so far I have only lost weight but if I gain a pound my confidence might be shot!!!

guys  - i worked out again tonight!! I did weigh myself and i was down 2 pounds... but i OVER DID IT on pasta and bread tonight :( Guess i'll have to hit the gym extra extra hard tomorrow!
I worked out again too but DAMN IT I am not losing any weight!! My boss bought me lunch today for my birthday & I had half a club so now I only have 20 calories left for the rest of the day!!! Totally bummed.
well if it's almost your birthday - then i'd say it's ok to splurge... right?! Half a club doesn't sound TOO bad... could be a lot worse!! I had LOTS of pasta - way more then needed and 4 breadsticks! I thought about working out twice lol... but i was way too tired to go again. To make things worse... my mom made rice pudding tonight. Of course i just couldn't resist. Tomorrow's a new day!

Sunshine, your name says it all! ha ha. You are very optimistic--I like it! I did work out tonight and went grocery shopping & got LOTS of healthy stuff so that's something.

meganmudge   lol - i wish i was ALWAYS optimistic!! I just know how it feels to mess up, and it's always nice to have encouraging words, right?! That's good that you got healthy foods - i'm gonna try to eat really well today since i splurged on pasta yesterday (mmmm my favorite!)

I can't wait to workout today!! I think i'm getting a little obsessed!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to let you all know how my first week is going...after 4 days I am down 4.2 lbs! Woo hoo! Almost to our February goal already, although the next two will probably be more difficult. Hope you are all doing well also!
i said i'd join, but i just realized there is no way i can lose 6 pounds in 3 weeks.. so ill go for 3 lbs.

I went today and worked my BUTT off... however - i ate a candy bar :( My friend bought all this junk food and i just couldn't resist... plus - my mom and i are making a mocha tofu pie tonight... i know, sounds weird - but somewhat healthy! 

Kelly27, I am so jealous!! ha ha. I haven't lost a pound. I actually went up two, then back down two. On my way to the gym, wish me luck! Oh hey, what exercises do you guys recommend for the fastest results?

Hi I am new to this, but I would love to join and I am up for the challenge to lose 6 lbs by feb 29th. My name is Nikki and I am 5'4 my starting weight is 125 and My goal weight is 110, hopefully (fingers crossed) by March 31, 2008.  Looking foward to this and making some great friends!

Ugh, I don't think i'll ever be able to lose these last (was 5, now about 7!) lbs!

I just ate a huge dinner and dessert (as I do EVERY night, and I tell myself NO! But, I still do!)

THEN, I made banana bread for my boyfriend. I ate A LOT of it. With honey! It was the high calorie type of banana bread. Considering every low calorie bread that I bake taste horrible! I feel so bad. On my one night that I don't work out, too.

I shoot for 1500 on no work out days, and I ate about 2300 today! Ha-ha-ha!

I do so well during the day, but, then at night, it's always the same. Pasta, veggies, protein and some sauce. THEN, the chocolatey goodness.

 

I am pathetic. :/

 

I am the same way, don't feel bad! Just don't give up & keep trying to tell yourself no. Oh, Smart Ones makes really yummy desserts for only 150 cals too!

ugh - i did really bad yesterday AND today! My friend came over and i made him dinner... but then we ended up making dessert too :( I did workout for 1 1/2, but STILL.... i basically blew it by eating too much!

meganmudge - as far as doing something for the fastest results... i don't really know. Maybe cardio? Lots of it lol!! If i knew - i would have been doing it a long time ago! I think i've probably gained back the 2 pounds i lost... after these past 2 days! And sunday we're having my aunts birthday party at my house - urghhh! 

I want in! Is it too late?

 I just started counting/losing, so I should be able to drop 2/ week until the end of the month. Thank God it's a leap year!
