I've successfully done it before...I lost 27 pounds two years ago using this website...it's time to do it again and keep it off this time!
Life happened and it's time to take contol again. I'm looking to lose 25-30 pounds! I'm 5'8 and I know I've felt the best around 135!
Who's with me? I'm on track for today! :)

hahahahahaha...I didn't even think about it like that! I guess fighting would burn calories---so that might work?

I'm with ya (well not for the fighting part, but I hear kickboxing is good exercise!). I am working to lose 35 pounds and then I am going to see if I need to lose more.

Tell me more about yourselves! I think it would be super helpful for us to keep each other accountable...how did you guys do today so far? I'm horrible at night...but I'm working really hard on logging everything so I don't have the opportunity to cheat!
I'm definitely ready to get serious! I've been hovering between 155 and 165 for a while now, and I have made a serious commitment with myself to finally break 150 (and more!) for the first time in a long while! It's been hard to really commit as I am currently in grad school, but it's time to shape up. I've been actively counting calories for about a week so far, and it has been getting easier and easier. My goal calories per day are 1250-1400, and so far i've been able to keep within those goals!
Also, I only really succeed when i AM being held accountable, so I'm definitely ready if you are!
I'd like to join you guys! I'm 28, 5'6", 165lbs and would like to get to 135 as well. It's been super slow going for me. I lost 15 pounds in the beginning of last year but I've been fluctuating the same 5 pounds for almost a year now...and I've really been trying! I'm pretty good about getting exercise, and I'm usually good about what I eat during the week but weekends KILL ME. Plus, my boyfriend is a chef - which can be nice, but....jeeeeez it's easy to overindulge on really great food (especially when you pair wine with it...oops...)

Well I have done really well so far today. Nights are my problems, so I save calories during the day. I am eating 1483 a day and maintaing a 707 calorie deficit or more each day.
It's 2:30 here and I have consumed 712 calories. I am heading for my afternoon snack (i'm addicted to yoplait whips - 140 cal's). So that leaves 631 for dinner and dessert (425 for dinner and the rest for dessert - which I need!).
Plus I have a big hill workout today (training to walk a marathon) so that will mean my deficit will be huge today.
That's 712 so far. Heading for my yogurt, that leaves about 630 for dinner and dessert.
Can I join too? I'm in my forties and want to lose about 20 pounds. I'm having a heck of a time with the 150 wall.

I feel like I am reading my own words...I am also a graduate student! ALMOST DONE---HORRAY! I have an almost 1 year old son...and it's totally true that it's harder to lose weight with children!
I am awful at night too rocconess---I just plan on saving at least half my calories so that I can make it through. My husband works second shift and he always leaves amazing take-out food sitting around for me to eat in the evenings. There is a doughnut on the counter that has been calling my name!!!!! I'm at 1295 calories for the day...and my goal is to stay between 1200-1300!
naturallyd---i'm glad you're joining us! I'm right around the same starting weight as you--and I have the same goal weight! Weekends are rough for me too...that's the only time my husband and I see each other so we always try to celebrate with food---bad idea! Of course I happen to be married to the type of person I can't stand---junk food addicts who are skinny!
So how are you guys going to keep yourselves motivated? Being able to share tips and tricks will definitely help...should we do weigh in's? I'm all for anything that helps me get healthy!
Weigh-ins will definitely keep me focused! Today my caloric intake was 1237...exactly on point!
My downfall is mid-afternoon grazing! I love pita and hummus, kettle chips, salsa, anything with salt! I've been really able to cut most of that out with my friends raw almonds and a handful of pretzels!
im 4 foot 8 inches and i weigh around 90 pounds. i want to lose 10 pounds before school starts. my hardest thing is that i eat when im NOT hungry. i dont think about it when i do it but i regret it after. im trying to only eat 1200 calories or less a day.
I'm in! I'm 5'7 and am trying to get down to 135 as well...that means I've got about 35 pounds to lose! Yikes!!! My husband and I are training for a 1/2 marathon, and still no luck! Maybe motivation from you all will help me get into my old clothes from my "skinny" days before my son came to be! When are our weigh-ins?

I'm 5"7.25 and I want to get down to 135.. like most of you! (started at 158 on cc in April.. but my highest weight was 186 in 2006)
I'm at 152 right now but was at 149 last week... my period should start soon. (I hate that time of the month with all the weight fluctuation.. but I'm not so obsessed about it.. eventually it will come off!!!)
So.. about me... I'm 26 yo, live with a wonderful boyfriend (8 years now!!), work in television as an assistant sound editor. I'm trying to workout most days (6 days a week approx).. I will start Slim in 6 next monday after finishing my 30 day challenge with wii active (it's a killer at high intensity!!!!) .. I'm walking a lot too...
I'm trying to eat between 1500 and 1700 cals per day (I love sweets!!! Especially ice cream.. tough to resist in summer!!!)

---iluvsmileymiley--- I'm no doctor but 90 pounds doesn't seem like you would have a pound to lose no matter what your height. Maybe you should focus on toning and weight training? Why do you want to lose weight?

I'm 5'8" and 2 years ago, using CC, I went from 177 to 139. I was happy that I accomplished it, but felt trapped by counting calories and just wanted to enjoy my life again. However, I spiraled out of control.
Now I'm back, 50 years old, and 182 and feel lousy. So I have started again.

I'll be down for a weigh in whatever day works best for everyone. If we do Sundays it might make me a little more accountable on the weekends which are BY FAR the MAIN REASON why I am not losing at the pace I want to be losing. So do we wanna start this sunday? Hey! It's the 5th! It might help us not to go crazy on the 4th!
I joined in march 09, have lost 6 lbs so very slow. I lost interest last month an didn't count or excercise but today is a new month so I want to restart. I reposted my goals. I am 50 - 5"5" and want to lose to 135 or lower. I am currently at 143.4. I have lost and gained the same 5 lbs for the last few months.
Sunday weigh in's works for me. Weekends are bad for me as well.
