I've successfully done it before...I lost 27 pounds two years ago using this website...it's time to do it again and keep it off this time!
Life happened and it's time to take contol again. I'm looking to lose 25-30 pounds! I'm 5'8 and I know I've felt the best around 135!

hahaha that's hysterical! As of this morning I'm down to 156.4 so the weight is coming off slowly but surely. I'm doing really well today so far, I just had lunch and my total calorie count is 565.
vitenser...an egg white omelete sounds so good...looks like I know what I'm having for dinner!
Just curious - what is everyone's CC plan for the 4th? What are you eating?
Rocco - for the fourth, I'm just going to eat half of whatever we're having at the bbq and making sure I load up on veggies and fruit (e.g. Half a burger with tons of raw veggies and fruit salad) and of course a beer or two! I also plan on eating fewer calories before the bbq, and eating a snack before I go out so I'm not super hungry when food is served!
Today I've been right on track again! 1241 cals...Last time I tried dieting I don't remember eating 1200-1300 cals a day being so easy! I guess it's because I'm focusing more on lower cal foods, than smaller portions of the higher cal foods I'm used to eating?
good call coming up with a 4th of july plan...we always go to an art fair/taste of our town early afternoon--hopefully I can find something worth eating! Otherwise...it's easy to stay busy while everyone is eating if you have a baby to feed :) Then no one bugs you about not eating and asks if you're on a diet!
Today was pretty bad...but I still felt like I was in control. We went to Famous Daves BBQ with my mother in law and her bf...I had half of my lunch sized entree---beef brisket---YUM! I was going to eat the other half for dinner but then I forgot it there, it's probably better that way! I went over to my parents for dinner and ate another HALF of a dinner...half a hamburger and green beans! I was over my calories---but not by much. I was at 1407 for the day.
Even though I ate things that I traditionally wouldn't eat while I am trying to shed the pounds, I still felt great about the day. What I really want is to feel like I am in control of the choices I make...I think that with that sense of control over my intake I will start to lose and feel better about myself! :) Thanks ladies for keeping me accountable and for sticking with it! Two days until the big weigh in!

viten.... you are doing great.... to go out the bounds just little and feel good, that is a great place to be.... i had the same kind of day... i was a naughty girl today but not a BAD girl... i went up to 1400 today, mostly alcohol... not a binge day but not one of my best... if i can just maintain .... i will be happy..
oh, the reason for the alcohol.... did i mention that i didn't tell my husband i was buying a golf cart..... ooopsss....... he was a little tee'd off... but he will get over it.... he was horrible today but he will better tomorrow... hey, i work...i will spend also... but that is another blog... LOL
i like we are getting a plan together for the 4th... i am definitely going to the 1/2 burger, load up w/ veggies and fruit that someone suggested... great idea. and water bottle for sure.. it seems to help in social situations for me... and PRE EAT... that really helps... it will pre eat protein... okay ... looking fwd to hearing how everyone did on the 4th... if i can maintain...that will be GREAT...

Hi Everyone!! Sorry I didn't post much this week.. I was soooooo busy at work! But I kept an eye on you :oP (I just didn't post... I'm a french-canadian and I'm not so good in english.. so writing takes me a looooooot of time!!!!)
My week wasn't so bad.. I ate a little over my goal (which is between 1500-1600)
I was 152 July 1st and this morning I was 150! Yeah! It seems like I will pass soon the "150" mark.. I didn't think I could! As far as I remember, I never did!! (I was there one time but didn't maintained it long!)
You're all doing a really good job! Stay motivated! Just be careful with you're intake.. not below 1200!! Your health is more important then losing too quickly, going to starvation mode, and risking to gain it all back after with a shut-down metabolism.. (Speaking from experience..!) :o)

I ate JUNK yesterday....just total garbage! But...I managed to stay somewhat in control and still eat under 1700 calories....plus I think I did more walking than I have done in months! All in all, I think I could have done without the chocolate at 10:00 pm last night...but other than that I'm okay with how yesterday went down! Now I have to get out of bed so I can weigh in! :)

I hope everyone had a good fourth! I tried to be good ;) and stayed around 1400 yesterday which is unusual for me because I have never crossed a holiday food that I didn't like...ESPECIALLY grilled food!

Had a BAD weekend, drank way TOO much wine. Am bloated this morning, can feel it in my rings and was up to 145.2 from 143.4. from July1.
Back on track today but that is what happens to me, i'm good all week and then blow it on the weekends so I gain and lose the same lbs all over again.

I'm down 3.5 lbs this week! I don't know if I can trust it thought because my starting weight was on a different scale and we all know how each scale gives us a different weight! Oh well...I'm just going to go with it! It was a great first week...let's all keep up the good work!
I accidently slept through breakfast this morning---oops! I'm having a grilled chicken salad for lunch and maybe some tilapia for dinner! YUM! Have a great sunday!

skinny - i ate 1400 yesterday too which is good except that a lot of it was beer/wine... bloated today
rosie- a girl after my own heart... you can get that + 5 lbs off pretty fast!! i lost 22 lbs last yr. and gained 10 of it back... I WISH I WOULD HAVE caught it at +5 lbs NOT + 10 lbs. you can take that off by AUG and be right back on track.
clinging- i see you and i are the wine lovers in the group.... i LOVE LOVE LOVE my wine... i tried the wine FRE (non alcohol, less calories... HATED IT!!) what i figured out is i like the routine of drinking my wine at night. these days (except holidays) i pour a measured glass of wine... i take very small sips...stretch it out....I am honest w/ myself on the wine thing, i measure out how much i drink and record every oz. if i didn't, i would drink too much. oh, anther thing i do.... if i want an extra glass, i do an ADDITIONAL 120 cal. burned on the elliptical. so maybe if you burn extra on FRI, you can have an extra glass on the weekend, just a thought.

i went up .5 lb... i feel the bloating...i am not too worried... i try to look at the last 7 days and gear my weight on that... i am up and down a little all the time. i am looking at the weekly progress before i panic. now if i am not down to 168 by the 7th.... THEN i will go into "pissed" mode.
i HAVE to get to the gym, i have e not been since i started back losing weight...i got the golf cart to go to the gym.... i HAVE to get back to the gym... it makes such a difference...
I'm in! I'm 170 lb currently, want to get down to 140 lb. I have lost 20 lb since Dec but it has been really slow lately for me!

welcome tani and rancho.... we all seem to be starting around the same weight.... yeah...
i finally got some exercise in.... 30 min. of brisk walking... i was STARVING when i got home.... i attacked some left over salmon and broc. and 1 hard boiled egg. brought me up to 1400 today. i can't tell you how hungry i was !!
thank goodness there was some good healthy, low fat food .....to eat right away !
