I've successfully done it before...I lost 27 pounds two years ago using this website...it's time to do it again and keep it off this time!

Life happened and it's time to take contol again.  I'm looking to lose 25-30 pounds!  I'm 5'8 and I know I've felt the best around 135! 

Who's with me?  I'm on track for today! :)

One thing that's amazing about tracking calories daily and weight daily is how crazy our bodies are!  Because of hormones, I gained 4 pounds over one day about a week ago, and then today, all of a sudden, voila DROPPED.

 

It's about time, it was getting to a point where I almost stopped weighing myself!

Back to 154.8, not quite down to 154.2 a week ago, but I'm hoping tomorrow will be kind to me, BUT NOT AS HIGH AS 158.2 WHICH I WAS ROCKING TWO DAYS AGO.

I'm back from being "out at sea"...didn't do so hot on the no snacking rule, but I'm home now...trying to get back on track for the weekend.  Let's see how Sunday's weigh in goes!  How has everyone's week been???  

Well the scale said 164.5 today and I'm takin it because it HAS been hangin out around 165 166 for a bit. eventhough it did say 163.5 last week, I'm okay with 164.5 this week. I'm going out of town for a wedding today and won't be back until Sun night so I'll try to post again on Monday, but I will miss Sunday weigh in. I'm takin today for my weigh in. Good luck to everyone this weekend! I'm gonna TRY to keep the calories at an acceptable number this weekend.

hey everyone.... i can't weigh, i am in hotels this week, thank the lord there isn't a scale... i have been doing pretty well for food. went to the grocery store in london, bought fruit, mixed veggies, sliced turkey, lowfat cheese slices and an eggsandwich... NO ALCOHOL.....i had my hand on an ice cold stella beer...i held, looked adoringly at it.... loved it... then....I PUT IT BACK........ahhhh such a love story i had going with that beer..... ate chicken on the plane, salad...i did eat a little chocolate chip ice cream but that was my only bad thing in 3 days..

i have another london trip tonight, i will try to do the same thing

vit, you really have higher priorities right now, if you could just maintain and then get back to losing when you move in and your apt is rented. order a sandwich eating out, but take off the bread, salad oil/viniger.... even a burger or turkey burger if you can find it.

off to shower and get ready for round two.

skinny, i know what you mean.... up/down.... but what i am reading is everyone seems to do this. so this must be part of the process... as long as we inch down in the LONG run... it is working...it takes awhile... it took me 6 months last yr to lose 20 but i kept it off for a yr... until i started eating fried food everyday..

someone asked about 1600 calories a day, that will work but it will take longer.

my friend was going to have the stomach "thing" done  but her dr. said before you do that, try eating 1000 calories a day first.... she couldn't do it...so she had the stomach thing done... she has lost a lot of weight but she is sooooo weak, has to have her husband bring her lunch shakes or she will faint at work. she looks really drawn and weak. i will never do that...i would rather lose it slow.... maybe try bring it down gradually... 1500, 1400, then 1300.. eat dill pickles and carrots when your stomach growls....

I actually increased by 100 calories per day this week.  So now instead of cheating, I'm counting them.  Seems to be working and I'm not as hungry, though I'm still cranky (as you will see if you look at some of my recent comments).  Slowly going down, so we'll see how tomorrow looks. 

Hang in there Vitenser, we're thinking of you.  Tucsonmichelle, maybe we should start a wine night.  One night a week we get to have a glass, all of us, all together.

Sunday weigh-in...I don't know what's going on with my body...I guess I've hit a plateau pretty early on and the hormones hit me hard this month!

Hi all

Weekends kill me and it is also TOM so the weight is definetely up. Had 2 glasses of wine and a cold beer along with an ice cream cone yesterday so that probably explains the extra weight.

I crave sugar during my TOM and always have.

I do this every weekend, I gain and then lose a few lbs during the week only to have the scale have them back up on Sunday to start all over again.

I need to get serious about this, something always seems to get in my way or I always have excuses.

Good morning.  154.8, up .6 which is better than 6 I guess.  Yesterday was my son's birthday, so the .6 is probably raspberry cheesecake.  Didn't drink much water yesterday either.

I didn't do so well this week.. eating a lot of sugar and fats.. but I continued to exercise.. that's what saved me I guess! So today's weigh is 149 (starting this thread at 152 (July 1st)).. It's slow but at least I'm going down! :o)

Start weight 7/5 = 172.5#

Goal weight 12/1 = 150# (-22.5#)

Current weight 7/12 = 171.0#

Up 1.5# this week.  But optimistic!

I'm down .4 today.  For some reason, Sunday seems to be my heaviest day of the week.  Every week!

This morning I FINALLY broke below 154!  I weighed in at 153.8!  The last time I tried to lose weight, 154 was my lowest before I stopped counting calories.  Also, this signals *hopefully* the end of my two and a half week plateau of hovering around 154.

well finally !!!, it took almost 20 days so see some progress but finally my body let go of some weight...i think the turning pt. was not eating out on work trips (going to the grocery store) and pretty much no alcohol... i did 3 glass of wine in the last 9 days...NOT MUCH FOR ME !!

i like the idea of having wine once a week... good idea.... i'm in....

i have noticed from this fourm.. we all seem to have bad days, go up/down as does our weight... i now don't get as upset as i used to about my weight jumping up/down... that seems to be normal BUT.... we are sticking w/it...getting right back on it.... and IT WILL GO DOWN

First and most importantly, the wine day is the best idea I've ever heard. Maybe if we all decide that one day a week, we can indulge with one of our favorite diet destroyers, it'll keep me from over-indulging on the other days.

Okay, secondly, I am up to 166 because...well, I don't know. I'm sure it's a combination of things. One, my boyriend's brother got married this weekend and Drew was the best man. And their entire HUGE family is from New Orleans and are big partiers and really wanted to initiate me, I guess....ugh...still recovering...

well, I guess that's the only reason. That and the wedding food and the slacking on exercise. I did get to work out one of the days. I went to the hotel gym, but time was limited. Oh well. Hopefully it'll drop.

edited to add: I've had a great day today. I'm right at 1200 calories and I have had very little salt and a ton of water, so I'm hoping that my weight will be down at least a little bit tomorrow morning.

natural, you didn't have a chance.... my dad's from New Orleans.... god love you..... you did it right... party at a once in a lifetime wedding and then you were RIGHT BACK ON IT !!! good for you...
