anyone wanting to go from 140 down to 120?
I am in serious need of motivational people! I really want this so badly I can taste it.
I weighed in at 141 this morning but I really don't know how accurate that is. My ultimate goal is at least 125. Won't take any less than that but I am pleased with any kind of positive change.
I would love to do Tuesday weigh in's. I am in a workout program with a girl at work and that's when we do ours.
I'm not too big on the calorie counting thing. Too time consuming for someone with NO time. I do watch closely what i am eating now and have cut my portions. I work out everyday even if it's just a walk for an hour.
Weekends are rough for me so any additional help with that would be great.

My goal is to loose ~20lbs… its pretty much all on my tummy and thighs :P but for now I’m looking forward to seeing numbers in the 130’s.
Melness, that is awesome. I usually lose at least a couple pounds that come off AFTER my period. When I'm really good and don't cheat at all, I usually lose 3-4. And since ur holding 141 during TOM, I bet at least 3 come off afterwards! Lemme know!!
I would love to also do this with you guys.
I am 5 foot and 133 pounds would love to get back down to at least 120.

YUMMY DINNER..... I've eaten this 2 nights in a row because it was so good and filling! I think it's my favorite low-cal meal so far.
3oz. of Roasted Pork Tenderloin (Hormel): 92 cal, 3g fat
1 Med. Gold Potato, chopped and roasted with olive oil spray, salt and Tabasco: 110 cal, 0g fat
Huge Salad with 1T of Bacon Bits (Oscar Myer), sprayed with olive oil spray and 0cal balsamic: 40 cal, 1.5g fat
TOTAL = 242 cal, 4.5g fat

so next tuesday is the next weigh in. i woke up pretty early today and did some jogging. later this afternoon i plan to go to the gym.
poupe, those seem delicious! i have green peas with chicken dumplings for brunch today. and i ate some biscuits....i know, i know, it's bad! grrrr.....i messed up >.<

Anyone have a goal for the month of May? I know we are all wanting to get down to the 120's but I am asking a small goal for the month of May. Somethign we can help eachother with.
Mine is to see 135 by May 16th. I am going to a wedding in Tennessee and haven't seen some of my family in years, since I was 13.

My goal is to have held 135 for a week by 5/21.
We are having a weekend away (seeing a bunch of people I haven't seen in awhile), and will be staying at a hotel and be eating out for breakfast and dinner everyday for 3 days, so I'd LOVE it if I could get down just a couple more lbs by then so I don't have to stress so much about food the whole time (I really want to stay on my little weekly/monthly goals for the long term). But, we'll see.
I'm having a pretty good week, except last night, I let myself go too long b4 dinner, and then wanted to eat everything in sight. It's funny how once I get to that point, it's hard to let those thoughts go (even after I ate dinner.... and was stuffed!). So I ate a dumb cinnamon roll (don't get like this very often, but when I do, gosh I eat the dumbest things.... it wasn't even a good one). Oh well, I was at 137 this AM, which is amazing! I've actually held that for 3 days now (thought it was just water weight), so maybe this week will be fine (supposed to be holding 139 til Wed.).
Anyway.....
Can't wait for Tuesday to see how everyone has progressed!

my goal for the month of may is to fir into a dress i bought about a year ago, even though it didn't fit. and go to the gym regularly. and not attack the bag doritos my boyfriend left on my desk.
also, does anyone have an meals that can be made without the use of an oven. I work in Germany and my current housing situation leaves me with 2 burners and a microwave with a "grill" setting that toast bread and bagels and not much more.
any suggestions?
have you tried those new flatouts? if you can't find them, you could use a tortilla too. I like to put a little marinara with veggies and low fat cheese on top (or whatever sauces/toppings you like) to make mini pizzas. Very yummy and filling. I think you said you have a burner? If you do, put it in a non-stick pan with spray olive oil and let heat til ur cheese is melted (like an open-face quesadilla). SOOOO good.

I'm 24yrs 5'3 and 145lbs. I would love to get to 120! I am just trying to join up at a local gym, starting to watch what I eat. And I really need motivational help!!

If I'm going out to a restaurant at least I can order salad with chicken or something... but what can I do to prevent over eating when I'm home visiting family (my mom cooks delicious food, but its rich sauces, breads, desserts etc), or at a catered event (ie the wedding stuff) where you have no choice in what is being served? I always say that I'm going to fill up on the veggie tray.... but then devour the bread, dessert, and everything unhealthy and ruin all my progress for the week :(
I just weighed myself this morning and it looks like I am 138 - down 2 lbs from 140. LOL, might too soon to say though as this is day 3 of eating clean and excerising.
my goal for the month of may would be 135 by the end of may. I finish my freshman year of college next week so I'm hoping the transition home, and eating out more often won't throw me off :-/ Good luck everyone..it's so inspirational when others are losing!
I think I'll make 135 lbs my goal for May. Currently holding at 139.5 (although weighed 138.5 this a.m.!) I have a party to go to first weekend of June and it'd be nice to be in the mid-130s not upper!
I am so glad to hear from so many of you.
I know alot of people on here have been talking baout going to the gym and doing cardio and stuff along those lines but I just don't have it in me to do all of that quite yet.
I have been walking everyday and also doing a workout video when I cant get in my workout. I don't know if any of you have heard of leslie sansone but I think you should check her out, she offers in home walking programs and usually most her videos don't take that long to do, about a half hour to 45 minutes.

oh andie, i know exactly how you feel. but then again, dieting is never fun and we all are pleasure-seeking beings, so just bear it, hang in there, and hope for the best. hmm...it seems so easy to type the words...
sometimes, when i'm preparing for exams and don't have time to go to the gym, i do some rounds on the track field. but it gets boring after a while, and i am thinking about getting up very early and run at the park outside my uni. at the gym, my fave so far is stair stepper. it burns more cals, although i am quite unsure whether the amount of calories burned is true or not. spinning class is fun, but my crotch often hurts!
oh yeah, not bad on restraining myself today. i was craving for bread this evening, but i held and opted for apples instead. phew, thanks goodness. hope tomorrow will be as good.

Can anyone offer some advice on low calorie snack food or a dinner plan for someone with kids and s husband who don't exactly want to follow my diet regimine.

Not too sure about dinner but for snacks are apples and peanut butter, plate of veggies, fat free yogurt, fat free pudding, string cheese, strawberries with cool whip, pistachio nuts, almonds, any kind of fruit.

i remember that i was waiting for tuesday to weigh in... BUT it's friday & i just remembered!
anyway, i guess i was 146 when i joined & probably 144 on tuesday. i didn't even write it on the calendar. i normally write it on the calendar to motivate me, but now that i've lost 75 pounds, the family doesn't like to hear it anymore. LOL
and my girls think moms are supposed to be fatter than them! LOL SO i'm trying to quietly lose these last few pounds. :D
