Anyone watching the show True Blood?

I just watched the first 5 episodes yesterday and today online. Seems interesting so far.

 

not liking the changes to Jason's story line as his story in the books is more fun.

 

Love Jessica and Hoyt.  They are cute together.

 

Getting sick of Bill's southern hospitality.

Love Eric in the books but he never attacked Layfayette in them though.  Wonder if I'll love him the same in the show.

 

I think maryanne is something else.  Wish I had my books here with me.  lent them to my sister-in-law!!

I want Sookie to speak to Barry.  Pronto!

I gave this show a try, just because I like the main actress. But I soon realized that I am not in their target audience, because I don't like a show that is solely based on sex, romance, violence and gore.

Sucks for you.

I LOVE a show based on sex, romance, violence and gore.

Really love Jessica now.  She is a great addition to the story line!!!

I agree with spuckine...Jessica is a great character. She was kinda annoying at first, but now I'm really warming up to her :)

For all those saying Eric is yummy...I agreed until I saw a TMZ clip where he said (about girls) "as long as they're young that's what's most important"

Ah well. Still thought the Viking flashback was pretty cool. :)

The Viking flashback was cool. I guessed right (that the vampire was his maker) when we were wondering why Eric was so intent on finding the missing vampire.

I can't believe Tara let those people just move into Sookie's house! Bad night or not, it is not her place to "give". Sheesh! But as my fiance would say, it's in the script LOL

Lafayette is so "tame" now. I wonder if he or Bill will be able to tell that Mary Ann is not "human".

 

lol...how funny was it when he was humping the fireplace after drinking Eric's blood....lol....hahahhaha...I kept rewinding that partlol...it was funny as hell...something I would do...lol

So who watched last night? 

Lots of stuff going on there.  I have trouble keeping up with what Sookie's "hearing" while there is conversation going on.  A friend told me today that he turns on the closed-captioning during the show so that he doesn't miss anything.  Think I'm going to have to start doing that, because he filled me in on so much I had missed.  

Whooo...  they really left us with a lot more questions!!! 

So much for Bill's southern hospitality problem - he used to be a monster. Yikes, again.

I just can't believe how sloppy they are.  What a waste of good "food". 

I just don't understand why HBO is going for the gross out factor.  A little blod would be fine, but Bill and his maker were wallowing in it. 

I suspect it was to snap us out of the lull.

Yeah. I like TrueBlood because at least once an episode each one of these things happen:

- I say, "Now that was a witty pun."

- I say "WTF!"

- I roll my eyes

- I think "I could never watch this with my mother."

^ lol I would never dream of watching this with my mother.

I hope Jason is ok.  He may be a real dummy but I just can't help but love him.

Glad they finally told us some stuff about MaryAnn although I'm still confused about what the heck she is.  I may have to watch that episode again to understand it.

I *think* Jason was shot with one of the paintball guns.  I don't think he is going to be critically injured. 

But Daphe is definitely done for.  Of course after she spilled her guts to Sam about what Mary Anne is...  I'm not surpirsed.  Her usefulness to the show/story was ended at that point. 

What I want to know is how/why did Godric save Sookie? 

Lol, I watch the show with my mother every week. >.< Her, my best friend/room mate, and I watch it whatever night we all have off.

I even got me and my bff trueblood tshirts and my mom a coffee mug for christmas. ^_^ I'm currently working on reading the second book, not quite sure if I like the show or books better. I kind of want to say the show at this point, but they are pretty different.
