Hi I want to create a motivation/challenge group that will track weight loss and goals w/me until June. I have to lose 15 pounds by June 7th, anyone?

Today I will do 30 min. Cardio and up my water. I've heard drinking a bit of Apple cider Vinegar is also a boost. Let me know if anyone's got a wedding to attend wants to join me in motivating each other?

hey, i'm dominique. i have a wedding on june 12th! and i'm also tryign to lose. i'm currently 122 and want to be around 101. so i have a goal close to yours :) only i recently left the gym - i want to start working out at home to tone. it would be nice to h ave somone for motivation - it would be nice to have people to keep me on track. i dont know a thing about apple cider vinegar tho, or how to use it.

I've been doing Home DVD's I don't belong to a gym either. I like Denise Austin Boot Camp but I think my body is over it, I've been plateauing around the 140's for about 2 months now, i went from 160 to 140 and want to get back to my normal 125.

The ACV is supposed to be diluted in water to help boost the metabolism. I've also heard that drinking a little more than half your body weight of water helps get stuff moving around.

Have you worked out today? let's try to work out everyday and count the cal's to see how fast we can get it off... i want to lose 2 pounds by next Sunday. You?

i printed out exercises to do at home, today all ive done thus far is crunches and ab stuff - i'm heading to work in a few and wont be home till late. but tomorrow i'm going to go thru my exercises. i stoped going to the gym bc i didnt liek the changes that happend. i didnt like they way my body looked. i've lost 20lbs since last summer but now im stuck at 122. so i feel ur pain! lol i keep cutting calories. (and i know going under 1200 is said to be bad but honestly if i dont feel hungry after 1000 i'm not going to eat. i cant see that my body is in "starvation mode" if im not hungry! lol but everyone on this site is crazy about throwing around the words "starvation mode") oh and yea, im big on water, i probably have around 10 glasses a day. i'm also a milk fan, but only 2%.

anyway so my big problem? eating when im bored/not hungry. so thats what i need to stop. i figure when i'm having a lazy day, and being sedentary, i burn around 1590 cal (according to this site) and the days i work its probably around 1800. so on the days im lazy i want to eat around 1100 cal and on the days i'm more active ill eat 1300. thats my new plan as of this week. i joined this site two weeks ago and it took me a while to get going you know? so now, sunday, a fresh start, i'm going to try better this week.

so my goal isn't nessasairly 2lbs a week, but ill take what i can get!

that's my problem too! is eating while bored/lazy and trying to quit smoking so i find myself munching late at night, sux! I'm still in my work out clothes and haven't worked out yet -- trying to get motivated... but let's do it! 15 pounds by June! I think it's plausible and healthy. plus i want to get back into dating, i haven't been happy with my weight and looks for a while so when the 20 pounds came off it was great getting the compliments but i KNOW what i look like at my healthiest/sexiest so I should get to my normal weight of 125, no more than that! I'm glad your on board yay!!!

hey everyone, my goal is just around yours i want to get down to 110. i need some motivation as well, so maybe we can all help eachother with ideas and talk about our success because if i keep it to myself i usually dont stick to my dieting plan. if i share it with other people it makes me feel obligated to lose weight.

and although im not having a wedding, im going to one in june as well and i want to get down 8-10 pounds.

yes let's motivate for real. it's not my wedding i'm attending and have to lose the weight before then. today I did 50 minutes of cardio/weights/stretch and am drinking lots of water... my biggest problem is that when it gets late i want to eat or snack from boredom especially since i'm trying to quit smoking... i think 2 pounds of fat a week is healthy and it's weight that stays off longer than just crash dieting...

what are you doing to lose the weight?

as far as the dating thing goes, i have the same problem. i think we have the same issues! lol i did good today tho, was running around at work and only ate 1300 cal, which is perfect.

how did you do?

hi domi1214 - yes today i did good but it's ttom and i'm sooo bloated and face round it's driving me insane... i've been drinking water all day and still not flushing :( ... but i did work out for about 50 mins hard! so that's good trying to keep cals below 1500

welcome skyeskye; yes june 10th is when we are trying to lose the 15 pounds also! I guess i'm gonna try to move this to games or challenges??

I would love to join you guys!  I have a wedding on May 31st, does that count? I am trying to lose at least 5 pounds, if not closer to 9. 

My problem is getting to the gym.  It is easy on days where I go in to work late or am off but the days that I work 8:30-5:00 it is impossible.  I am married with two very young children.

I've been in 132 for about two months now and need a lot of motivation to stay on track.

Hey! i'm interested! i'm in 2 in june!  one of the dresses i ordered i had a choice to get the one where the waist measurement was an inch smaller or the same as what i am, so of course i got the smaller thinking it would motivate me to lose weight... well it is going slow!!!!!!  now that it's less than 2 months away i know i need to be a lot more serious.... not exercising is my biggest hold up.... i'm just tired and lazy and can't get motivated! but i have been eating better and walking around more... i really want to lose about 10 pounds... which i'm thinking is about a pants size/1 inch... what's everyone else doing to lose the weight???

Hey, Im interested...my goal is to loose 29 lbs by August 1 but I am interested in any help with motivation....I started the year with going to the gym 5 days a week, changing my eating, upping my water and fiber intake, it worked for about 11 lbs now I've slacked for about 3 weeks and need to get back into the game. I just find it hard to motivate myself as I work full time, have two small children, go to school full time in the evenings and hardly have time to sleep!!

I will have @ 1500 calories today and have walked twice for 15 minutes on breaks. I will also do core excercises tonight at home as well as wall squats and lunges.

The new rules we ask ALL Competitions to follow are:

  • The *sign-up* thread can be "hosted" in the appropriate forum relating to the challenge. For example.. a "lose 20 lb. by Memorial Day" can be hosted in Weight Loss.
  • Once the sign-ups have closed, a new thread should be created in the Games & Challenges forum. A moderator will then lock the *sign-up* thread and link the new thread in the OP's header. I have a wedding on June 14th. Im still trying to loose the last ten pounds

Im going to start going to the gym about 6 to 7 days a week.

I actually don't count calories (anymore), I follow Paul Mckeena's life style recommendations. But I would love to be a part of the group.

I also bought a pedomitor, it is pretty neat.... they say optimal steps is 10000 for weight loss. So I am trying this thing out to see how many steps i do.

 Oh wow -- I am going to Mexico on June 6th and could definitely lose at least 15 lbs by then -- good luck --- whats your plan?
