tried it once - it does work - to make you feel fuller eat plenty of free points foods
I didn't like it!  The points, for me, were very vague. They premise the diet on the fact you can eat whatever.  Well, you can butttt a cookie could add up to 5 points and if you are only getting 26 a day there goes a big chunk.  They were obsessed about every single calorie to the point of ridicolous!  When they told me I had to count the calories in the wine I cook with, I was out of there!  It is a diet mentality and only about weight loss. I found it very yester year.  I did it on line for about 6 weeks.  The people on the site were a mixed bag.  On average,  I think,  over a year or two year period the weight loss is about 11 pounds!  I think WW makes lots of money andddd has a lot of repeat customers.

This site provides soo much more information, it is free and I find it easier to do.  I think this site addresses over-all health.  People are more honest about their struggles with food disorders.  It seems people want to be healthy and losing weight is a part of that but not only that.  This site just seems to provide more tangible stuff.  Of course, different strokes for different folkes.  So, you could try it for three months and see if you like it.  Good luck
I agree w/ Tully I did ww for 3 months and was gung ho in the beggining. I Found this site while using ww and am still using this site w/15lbs lost. Its free and I found the whole point thing annoying after awhile I'd rather no my real caloric intake. 1200 cal tricks my head into feeling fuller then 26pts
I've been doing ww since beginning of April and have lost 20 pounds...met my goal which happened a lot sooner than I had anticipated!  The points counting makes me accountable for what I am eating.  I am a huge night snacker and if I do not have any points left for that day, I am limited on what I can eat.  Although they do not stress it as much as the points, keeping active/exercise is stressed.  I go to face-to-face meetings which is a good way for me to socialize.  I need that as I tend to isolate.  Good luck!
I've tried WW many times, and never lost anything to be happy about. The concept of an apple being the same number of points as an entire BAG of pop corn, just makes people eat things that are not good for them and removes the person from their own body's needs. I love this site because it let's you know the nutritional value of the food you're eating as well as the calories in it. When I see that one small mounds candy bar, I'm talking the little one, is 80 CALORIES with nothing in it to support my body's health and a glass of non-fat Soy milk is the same with loads of nutrients, well it makes me do a retake on the food I eat. I also don't like the concept in WW that you have a days worth of Free points that you can use however you wish! What kind of thinking is that anyway? If I'm serious about improving my health, then everyday is an opportunity to change it, and keeping track of what I eat, not just the calories but the nutrients too, isn't drudgery that I have to take a break from.  I love that I have control of my body and can make responsible, knowledgeable choices of what I put in it. WW never did that for me.
again i will repeat my previous post about my opinion of WW.   it was hard for me to lose anything!  i only needed to lose about 20 pounds, so i was only allowed 18 points!!  that's 3 of those cookies the poster earlier stated and maybe just maybe a bowl of oatmeal, all day!  that's probably a bad  example but i'm trying to show how like say a piece of fruit at a 100 or less is the same value point as say a 1/2 of a candy bar.  i was always hungry.  felt sad towards the end of the day, when i had maybe 1 point left for a dessert and hubby (at 6'3" and 300lbs with 45points to use) had at least 10 or 12 towards a decent dinner.  also, starting exercising in the 3rd week like they suggested, and i gained a few pounds.  the leader suggested that i wasn't following the plan right.  she swore up and down, that it wasn't because i had gained muscle.  sorry, so long, have some resentments still.

it may work for some, just not for me.

i love this website, it's free, i like seeing the actual cals and nutrition info, and activity cals (so much better than expecting 1 pt earned for exercising in an hour--not much of a pat on the back there--ooh, i could have a an apple now!)

:)
I was in WW and lost some weight.  I gained it back though.  I found it to be expensive to go to those meetings and I tried to do it on my own but that didn't work out for me.

I prefer to count calories.  I find it much easier than the point system.  I like this site because I have made friends and we are all in this together! I think it is important to have support while changing eating habits! I didn't have that with WW when I was going at it alone, lol! :)
