anyone out there whos 5 ft and maintaining?
how many calories would i need to maintain at 5 ft and 98lbs?i feel like what this site gives to maintain will make me put on weight at 1500 calories, is anyone doing this does everyone go by what this site tells them? as other sites tell me different numbers which some are way to low. how do you short guys in here maintain?

Hi. I'm 4'11", and have been maintaining a weight of 90 lbs for quite some time. I tracked all the food I was eating for a couple of weeks back in late January to early February, because I was curious about what may daily caloric intake was for the foods that I normally eat. I just didn't know and wanted to find out. It came out to an average of 1428 calories per day, so I think that 1500 definitely sounds like it is in the right ballpark for someone who is 5 feet and wants to maintain a weight of 98. As far as my activity level goes, I have a sedentary job, but try to go to yoga classes 2 or 3 times a week. I have a bike, but really haven't ridden it all season, until the last couple of Saturday's, when I went swimming and biking with a friend. Hadn't been swimming in a long time either, but now I have a newfound interest in doing more of that going forward. I guess if I ramp up my level of activity on a continuing basis, I'll find that I need to eat more food to maintain my weight.
