Anyone from Wisconsin?

Just wanted to see who's in my area!

Born & raised in Green Bay (yeah, I'm a cheesehead), have lived in lower Michigan (now I'm a troll living "under the bridge") the last 20+ years.  Have a niece who's going to college in La Crosse, I think.  How are things "up there"?

Well, not many from Wisconsin..But there are a few of us!  Troll living under the bridge?? What does that mean?  LOL.. Things up here are coolllddd.  We hit 83 one day, and today we're in the mid-30's.... Kind of disappointing..

guera, if you live in the lower "peninsula" of Michigan you live "under" the Mackinac (pron. mackinaw) bridge.  Trolls live under bridges, according to legend.  I may be a troll, but at least I'm not an ugly one!

It's cold here too, 29 degrees and it's not gonna be better in Green Bay.  Can anyone out there send Florida up this way?

I get it now!  I was confused and had all sorts of weird thoughts running through my mind about what you meant by a troll under the bridge.  Thanks for the clarification.

I'm not from Wisconsin, but suzigirl, wave at me when I sail under the bridge....should be late morning-ish on July 16th. :-)

Used to be a troll, now I'm a Sconsonite in Janesville (hopefully Madison within the next few months:).

I'm in far Northern Wisconsin, I guess near caveman (over in Barnes). I love riding down near La Crosse, great curvy roads and lot of rolling hills.

mfchill- I have family that lives in Northern Wisconsin.  Do you know where Lac Du Flambeau, Minocqua, or Ashland is?

I'm originally from California...but am living in Sheboygan now.  (Waves to all Sconsinites). I know where Ashland is.  We'll be heading up that way in a couple weeks to see my husband's family.  They are all from Ashland/Bayfield/Washburn area.

The worst thing about living in Wisconsin (well, not that bad, but bad for dieting) is the drinking!!  Us Sconsinites know how to throw 'em back, and some of us have the beer belly to show it!

guera,  yup I know all of them, my kid has a track meet coming up in Ashland.

lapslazuli, Lucky!  So close to Elkheart Lake and you have Hop's Haven right in town.  I'll be riding down for the AMA races in June.  It's a great track, living in Sheboygan would be good for my diet, I'd spend enough on track days I wouldn't be able to afford food.

I'm from Cottage Grove, right outside of Madison, and I'm moving back there in a few weeks! :)

I just found this post, so I'm a little late.  I'm a Sconsinite, born and raised.

renekane- You live in Janesville?  I grew up in Elkhorn (just a lil Southeast from there) and did most of my shopping in Janesville.  ;)

Elkhorn is also near Lake Geneva, Whitewater, Delavan... if that rings a bell to anyone.  It's small...

Anyway, I live on the east side of Madison now, it'll be 2 years in August.

vitenser- I live somewhat near Cottage Grove though!  I'm between Atwood St. and Winnebago Ave.... but I take the bike path down to Cottage Grove road and back... and I have a friend who just bought a house with her BF on the north side of Cottage Grove.  It's a nice place!

How did I not post in this thread yet?  I'm currently residing in Milwaukee.  I'm originally from Racine, and I once travelled as far north as Whittenburg! Strange country up there. 

It's good to see more and more wisconites on the forum.  We need it..
