If you could have anything as a reward...
When I was trying to think of different rewards to motivate myself to lose weight, I noticed that everything I really want is impossible to plan as a reward.
If your rewards for losing could be absolutely anything, what would you make them?
I would have everyone notice I've lost weight, and be impressed, instead of giving backhanded compliments or being jealous.
Hmm... If my reward would be anything, it would be a super-awesome-mega-shopping spree! It would be wonderful to buy a ton of clothes and feel good (and not to mention look good!) in them.
Honestly, I would have nobody notice that I've lost weight at all.
Shopping spreeeeeee and a party to invite all my friends I haven't seen since graduation last year.. I want to see their total shock faces and hear the compliments :D
if i could have any reward i wanted, i would have my extra skin that i know i'm going to have magically shrink away and the stretch marks to disappear.
Hey, you DID say ANYTHING lol
haha, agreed. No more stretch marks.
Mine would be to be absolutely, no questions asked, totally happy with my body and my self-image.
Mine would be lowlights in my hair. I've wanted them forever, but I can't afford them. (Or, more like won't. I have the money, I just can't quite bring myself to spend it on hair.) They cost around $120.
Or a magical, non-shedding, hypo-allergenic kitty that never makes messes and never destroys my parents' furniture.
Shopping :-)
In June I'm traveling to the US and London in addition to here for "super mega shopping"... and toting two extra suitcases...
I'd strongly suggest the same idea for you :-)
get a british accent.
or maybe just a boy with one, ahahaha.
Or maybe a really cool trip somewhere to show off my new hot bod :)
Vegas baby! Yup, a trip to Vegas, with a new wardrobe of course, and plenty of money for clubbing and gambling.
Well, a shopping spree would be nice (particularly for the shoes), or even a spa trip, but to be quite honest, I'm feeling practical lately, so I could really go for a hardwood floor in my kitchen or a bunch of stuff I've been eyeing at Williams Sonoma and Bed Bath and Beyond.
I would go on a "world tour" - no chance of THAT happening but you said absolutely anything; we can dream, eh?
i would get george clooney hooked :-D
An hour of skydive tunnel lessons - > $1200 ouch!
Interesting idea. Well what can I ask for a reward that losing weight hasn't already given me?
- I can run around and play with my kids without getting out of breath or feeling too lethargic to do so
- I no longer stop breathing at night due to excess weight or snore
- The risks of getting diabetes (a strong possibility for me as my father suffers from it) has reduced
- Clothing fits me better or as it should. Being short and wearing large clothing is very unflattering
- Looking younger or more my age. When I was overweight people used to think I was 40+ now they think I'm around 30. Not bad since I'm actually 34!
- Gaining in confidence.
- To be more in line with the teachings of my faith.
- Enjoying the fact that my wife love the changes I've made. She is definitely enjoying shopping for me. The fact that we went shopping purely for me was a revelation in itself. Normally we just grab the usual stuff for me and spend the rest of the time on the kids and her. Now stuff fits!
I could think of tons more probably. Having said all of the above, if I could have anything I'd want to be a little taller - not much mind. Just tall enough to be like the average Indian/Asian guy. ![]()
Skydiving?! That would be so fun. Actually, I'd rather go bungee jumping- and one of my friends might be doing that for her birthday :)
I could also really go for a shopping spree, travelling, George Clooney...hahah

Don't know where you are, but this site (http://www.dropzone.com/) can get you started and point you in the right direction if you ever have the urge to make a jump or two or three... It has a dropzone (dz) locator to help find one in your area. Also, most dz's are very welcoming even if you stop by unannounced just to watch.
An itsy bitsy teenie weenie black bikini! Worn for my hubby of course!

I second that! Why is that accent so freaking sexy?
Throw in rock star minus the drug addictions and STI's and I couldn't dream of a better reward!
