Hey, I totally blew it too... had about 8 slices of cake in 3 days & went out to dinner & dim sum on top of that... I'm feeling mighty depressed but I think there are a few things we can do to make up for it. My plan is to:

1. Increase my water intake - to minimize bloat (boy, am I bloated!)

2. Stay away from processed sugar, refined carbs (i.e. cookies, cakes, bagels & white bread, etc.)

3. Eat more fibre-rich foods (whole grain breads, cereal, fruit & veggies)

4. Go back to eating my normal calorie amount rather than restricting it to compensate for the weekend (so I don't shock my body even more)

5 . Increase my workouts by an additional 100-150cal burned per session

This is just a start but I hope it helps! Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Drink alot of water!!!!!! I know not much help but that is all I do when I indulge!

My brother always tells me to remember that you have 5 opportunities a day to eat well (3 meals, 2 snacks), which works out to 35 opportunites a week.  If you mess up on a few of them, you still have the majority left to get back on track.  He also advocates dieting 6 days a week and having a "free" day.  If you do this, then your bad day can count as your free day, thereby freeing you from the guilt of having a bad eating day!
Let the weekend be what it was and do today and don't think about tomorrow until you get there.  Its a process, one day at a time.

Once every month or 6 weeks I give myself the gift of a "no count" weekend. I still eat less than I used to and I never feel as if I'm being deprived. Since last February I have lost 108 pounds. The most important lesson I have learned is patience. Don't let your bad weekend get you down. I find that after my "no count" weekends, if I get right back to eating right it can jump start the losing process.
Thanks a lot for your nice words. I'm back on track and I've already lost the pound I gained over the weekend! Hooray!
