Recipe Ingredients for Apple-Raisin Cake

2 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1/3 cup margarine
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 cups unsweetened applesauce
2 apples
1 cup raisins

Recipe Directions for Apple-Raisin Cake

  1. Preheat to 350F

  2. Spray an 8 by 8 by 2 inch pan.

  3. Mix together flour, cinnamon, and cloves, Set aside.

  4. In another bowl, use mixer to cream margarine. Add sugar, and stir. Stir the baking soda into the applesauce, then add to margarine mixture. Fold in shredded apples and raisins.

  5. Pour batter into pan. Bake 40-50 minutes.
