Are fantastic and its apple season. I eat one every day. They are full of vitamins and fiber. They keep me going between breakfast and lunch. The MacIntosh I just had? superb.

Just thought I'd share.

I just had a red delcious from the dining hall. If I had my choice, I would have picked a pink lady. Still, it was crisp and sweet. :)
I do like the pink ladies as well. I'm going to be sort of..uh.."apple testing" this week for the perfect one to make mini caramel apples with for my halloween party next month. I saw them made on the food network. The take a big, lovely apple and scoop out little rounds with a melon baller. They put in a wooden stick and doll it up with caramel, candy, chocolate, and nuts! I wanted to do a few gourmet ones for the party, but the apple will have to be just sweet enough, have a good texture, and be firm. If anyone has ideas I'd love to know!

Ooh, thanks for sharing that bit about the food network recipe! I must have missed that episode ~ will go look for it now. Sounds perfect for a halloween party.

I live in New England and just finished a delicious, crisp, sweet organically grown Cortland. My absolute fav is the Fuji, but no one grows those around here ~ I have to buy them at the store.

Let us know which one you decide to use!
I'm partial to green (sour) apples.  Slurp!
I live in Minnesota and we have both the Honeycrisp and Zestar, made right here.  They are delicious.  I have at least 1 a day, sometimes 2.

Last year we planted a Honeycrisp tree and I can't wait until it starts bearing fruit.
I love apples i eat one everyday when i have them but i'm starting to wonder if the apples r making me gain weight...
I just bit into a gala...yum

vk - I love Granny Smith apples too, love the sour! :)

Also, they're the best for caramel apples!

apples tend to make me hungrier
the more sour apples are my preferance for oatmeal and cooking, i dont love them that much for hand eating. Red delicoius, gala and fuji are my favorite eating apples.
Pink Lady apples are AMAZING...
right now i just can't seem to eat an apple without some light laughing cow cheese smeared on it. i also like to put them in my salads. honeycrisp apples are the way to go.
HONEYCRISP!!!!! Love 'em!!!! I was in Minnesota this weekend (I live in Iowa) for a wedding at an apple orchard and bought a huge bag of them. They are half gone already - been home since Saturday night. :)

totally love apples!! they have just been officially my favorite fruit.. (=

my favorite are fuji apples ^-^ yummmmy!! i just had one this afternoon for a snack. i like cutting them into cubes or into apple fries, they look so much appetizing that way. but when i get lazy i just eat them as they are ^-^

i usually have one to two apples in one day. (= really  feeling. i love the crispness and sweetness. being natural is a plus too!! (= ooh i want to have one now!!

I like Braeburn, granny smith at the store, but when apples are in season here in New England, a fresh Yellow Delicious or Macintosh is the best!

I hate red delicious, can't ever see why their name has delicious in it... so soggy usually and grainy...

apples are fantastic. I LOVE granny smith apples. I eat one everyday after school when the hungry beast inside me wants to come out.
Hmm..I think I'll make a visit to the apple farm tomorrow and see what's ripe for the picking....
