Appropriate Weight-Loss Goal?
Hi everyone! I'm new to the site and I'm getting started setting up my plan.
Sorry this is such a newbie question, I'm hoping that some of you who know what you're doing can let me know if I have set a reasonable weight loss goal for myself. I'm a 5' 5" female, 22 years old, have quite a bit of muscle, but weigh 195 lbs. I've set the goal of losing 15 lbs in 3 months. Is this too fast? I've set my calorie intake at 1500/day.
Any insight you may be able to offer would be amazing. Thank you!
I dont think thats unreasonable at all, thats about 12 weeks and a goal of 1.2lb a week is excellent and achievable.
I have been doing my new lifestyle now for 12 weeks and I have lost 16lb. so it can be done, I am living proof, and I eat around the same as you.
Good Luck!!
yeah I agree that is very reasonable.
Thank you all so much. Ok, here I gooooo!
I love this site!!! Just had to share!
Your goal is very reasonable and totally attainable. I have similar stats and eat the same cals, and I have lost exactly 10 pounds in 10 weeks. I even had my birthday during that time (where I definitely ate more than 1,500 cal), and a few days in there that were over~and I still lost. I was hoping to have lost more b/c I wanted to lose 26 pounds by April 26, but I don't think that will happen, even though now I'm working out. But at least I know my weight loss isn't too dramatic and it will be more likely that I will be able to keep it off this way.
Good luck to you, and happy counting!
