April Fool's Day!

Do you actually pay any attention to this day? My friends have told me that it's crazy at their schools. I'm homeschooled, so I wouldn't know.;]

Had anyone ever done something funny to you?

I told my boyfriend today that I was pregnant ^_^ It was, perhaps the single most mean thing I've ever done to anyone. When I told him it was an April Fools joke, he got angry, then relieved and then he started laughing.

As for people doing things to me, I don't recall anyone doing anything funny to myself. I find it boring usually.

OMG, I almost just emailed my husband and told him I was pregnant as a joke, but I couldn't do it.  Too mean.  He'd have a nervous breakdown I think.

I'm in college and today is "Advising Day" so no classes. Thank goodness. There was a "party" thrown by the university at the dining hall close to my room last night so people were heading in and out until REALLY late. YAY for sleeping in!

Nobody around me really cares so its kinda boring.

There's this kid in my class that thinks the world revolves around her & she always gets her way in this class because she's really friendly with the teacher.
So today she had her hand up during a discussion, & the teacher didn't immediately call on her & she gets all huffy & goes "HELLO?! I'VE BEEN RAISING MY HAND FOR THE PAST 5 MINUTES" So the teacher calls on her, & the girl proceeds to get annoyed & say that she doesn't even feel like saying what she was going to say anymore & makes it into a huge catastrophe. Finally she just says, "I'm out" & gets up to leave the room. The teacher starts threatening her with detention & saying not to come back, & she goes, "**** this" & walks right out. We realize she left her stuff, so my teacher goes over, grabs it all, opens the door, & literally throws it out into the hallway. We're all like in shock that she actually took it this far.

... Then she walks back in, & both my teacher & the girl yell, "APRIL FOOLS!"

That was probably the best one I've ever seen.

I remember when I was in 8th grade our science teacher was telling us the school board had made this test that we had to take that day because of this deadline and we were going to do the extended response. she handed out pieces of paper folded into fours because the "extended response" was 4 parts and told us not to open it. We of course were all nervous and whatnot so she says ok you can begin and we open the paper and it says " APRIL FOOLS!" that was probably the best one that I've actually fallen for.

when i was little, my dad took one of those little hot dog things, a bottle of ketchup and a huge knife and pretended that he accidentally cut off his pinky. i freaked out and tried to call 911.

i hate april fool's day now haha

lol, nobody tried to get me but I got my mom a few times.  I told her Mike Lowell was traded from the Red Sox and he's her favorite player so she got really upset bt actually believed it.  And then I told her the plow man ran over our mailbox(he wrecked our old one) I also got her a few years ago. We used to have a lot of cows and it was so much trouble when they used to run away, and we'd have to chase them in, so I told her they were all out one day...haha of course she believed me.

And a few years ago my mom and I got my dad.  He works nights and usually gets up around 9PM to get ready, so me and my mom went in to wake him up and told him we lost track of time and it was really midnight...and yep he started freaking out lol. 

And yesterday a little girl at the daycare where I work told everyone she saw a mouse...lol that was kind of funny.

I don't participate as much as I used to.. but when I lived at home, I would put a rubber band around the hose sprayer at the kitchen sink so whoever turns it on gets sprayed. hehe

Forgot to mention.. This year, there was a storm that went by our area the night before. When I woke up, my boyfriend came running in saying that our town had been struck by a tornado overnight! Knowing I am deathly afraid of tornado's.. I freaked out and jumped out of bed, running for the phone to call my parents.. Then he opened up the blinds and said "April Fools!" The sun was out and everything was fine. I was mad at first. I never fall for April Fools jokes! But I must admit.. he got me good.
