I hope you will join me

Hello,
I am definately ready to join. I need some motivation so bad is is driving me crazy! Well, here is my stats:
Height-5'1
Weight-175lbs
Goal-145.00
Achieve-July, 2009
I know this seems unrealistic but I am willing to try really really really hard. I am 30 years old and I am just simply out of shape. June 21, 2009 is my 1 year anniversay and I want to look like I did a year ago.
What kind of exercise have you doing? How about your eating habits? I think it would be really neat if we could get everyone to tell a success secret to motivate and help each other. Today is the first day of my journey so I have a long way too go.
My success secret is: Replace a meal with Lean Cusine because now they have 30% more food, quick, and always on sale!
When I was 23 I went from 163lbs to 141lbs in 30 days by drinking water with lemon, eating lean cuisine for lunch, and oatmeal for dinner. Plus I was doing Leslie Sansome "Walk Away the Pounds" video 5 times a week!
I hear you - I too need some serious accountability/motivation - I'm in!
Height: 5' 1/2''
age: 23
Lowest Weight: 113
Starting Weight: 147
Current Weight: 125 ? maybe?
Goal: 110 (for now)
Yay for us short girls, asamoss18! I like the tips idea! I, too, did the lean cuisine thing and that actually got me from 147 to 130 but it took a while :P Now I'm trying to eat really cleanly - so no more processed foods. I make a lot of crockpot meals with chicken and extra lean ground turkey as well as home made chillies and curries. Cooking is fun! I always make huge meals so I can dole them out into little tupperwares and freeze them and eat them for a week at a time as lunches. It's just like those frozen entre' dinners except I know exactly what's in it!
It also helps to drink a ton of water and get more protein into your diet. :)
Hey,
So what are you doing now to get motivated? Any exercise?
I'm in!!!
Height- 5'4 or 5 not sure
Starting weight = 178
Current weight = 159
Goal weight = 130 by november
I'm definitely down for weekly weigh ins. In terms of meals, I only cook for myself so I can eat whatever I'm in the mood for.
For those of you who like meatloaf...make it in muffin tins and then you will be able to freeze them and eat them 1 or 2 at a time :) It's so easy and so good :)
My motivation at the moment sucks - so getting back on the bandwagon is my current motivation :P I've kind of been off the wagon for a couple of weeks now.
For exercise: I was using my elliptical machien 45 min a day 5+ days a week but lately that's dropped a bit. About to re-start that tomorrow, hopefully. I also work out with a personal trainer doing really heavy weightlifting and occasional boxing. It's awesome!
I highly recommend getting into kickboxing- it's fun! And lifting weights will help just about anybody. Don't be afraid of the weights!
What is everyone else doing for exericse and motivation?
i want in i want in !! my last group faded out fast and no one was posting besides me :( .. it happens though. circularroom we have like the same stats!! i'm 5' 3/4" and i weigh around 120 right now!
i spend way too much time on cc and looking at recipes, tips, motivation ideas, etc.. i think we can all definitely help each other out. i post a lot, so prepare yourself, hah!
I'm not exercising...I was everyday and it was making my weightloss painfully slow so I decided to stop until i'm within about 10-15 pounds of my goal and then I'll go again to tone up.
I'm just focusing on food for now and since the weather is getting better I'm sure I'll be taking walks and hiking outside...even if I'm not getting formal exercise at the gym.
rock on aperfectblink! I always think it's awesome to find people who are in the exact same place as you ;)
i like your idea chiquita, if i can't get myself to the gym i feel like all the effort i put in the past is wasted. i've heard that if you don't make it to the gym every 3 days, it's like you never worked out in the first place. (if that makes sense)
losing weight is only 20% exercise, so focusing on food is probably a better idea. i've been trying to get to the gym a couple times a week lately. we'll see. ahh, i gotta go to class!
I desperately need this club! May 15 is my goal day, and I'm hoping there's a lot of improvement to show for it.
Height: 5' 7 1/2"
age: 30
Lowest Weight: 150 or so in my twenties...?
Starting Weight: 175
Current Weight: 164
Goal: 155 although 160 would make me jump for joy~! I'm plateauing for the last 2 weeks, but my waistline is decreasing. I need to stay positive and get over the hump~!
Starting weight = 186.6
Current weight = 172.4
Goal weight = Somewhere between 135 to 145 (eventually) but maybe 165 by the end of May (May 29th is my senior prom
)
Height = 5'6"
I can deffinately do weigh-ins on Fridays. I may be late responding on some days, but that is because I am in High School and it's soccer season right now. I have games about 2 days a week, and practice all other weekdays. I also work part-time about 10 hours a week. I will try to report and comment/support others as much as possible.
I am looking forward to this.
joyful: i'm taking a soccer class right now (in college), and i love it! i doubt i get anywhere near the amount of exercise you do though.
chougai: measurements are definitely the way to go. have you been exercising a lot? it's very possible that you are losing fat and gaining muscle. i wish i had taken my measurements before i started dieting.. hmph. oh well.
circular: how much do you tend to eat everyday when you're losing?
friday is probably the best weigh in day for me. weekends tend to be hazardous. haha.
I'm in.
I'm training for my third sprint triathlon this summer! So I need to trim down a bit more and I know the more I lose, the less I have to run with and carry! :)
Height: 5'6"
Heaviest weight: 217
Lightest weight: 160
Starting weight in 2009: 196 lb
Current Weight: 191 lbs
Goal: 145 lbs
Achieve: September 09
I know it's an agressive goal, but it wouldn't hurt to try! I did weight watchers a few years ago and I know I can do it! I've just been plateauing in the same arena for awhile now!
I have trimmed down the most in the last few weeks due to running! I need to keep it up!
Well, currently I'm eating waaaay too many calories- but that's because I've been slacking and not counting for the last few weeks. I usually aim for right about 1200 calories. I mess up most weekends though but even with that - I even out right around 1400 cals. I've tried eating more in the past and I just instantly stop losing. Plus, if I actually accurately eat about 1200, I don't tend to be hungry - that is, provided I eat real whole foods and not cake or cookies or something.
Well, I got over the big hump today. Today was my first day "getting serious" and it was ok! Probaly because I joined this group (thanks). I did a total of 45 minutes today on the gazelle and treadmill. I notice that if I over do it then I tend to quit. Well, pray for me everybody and I will continue to pray for you guys. I know we can do it and lets try not to be like every other group and fall off!!!lol
aperfectblink: I get about 10 hours a week of exercise, not including anything I might do over the weekend, or my standing job at work.
annagirl82: I always hated running, until recently. I can't wait to watch your progress.
asamoss18: Good job today. Don't downplay your accomplishments. 45 minutes of exercise is GREAT! Good job and keep it up!
-------------------------------------
Today for me:
Breakfast/Lunch: (I got up late, as its the last day of my spring break) Taco Bell Chicken Quesedilla and a side of sour cream. Kids size soda w/ extra ice.
Dinner: 1/3 box of Kraft Mac' N' Cheese, 1 hot dog (no bun), and 10 tatter tots. A little bit of katchup. 16 oz. of milk
Snack: Small chocolate sundae from DQ, with truffle pieces on top.
I walked around a lot today. Walmart, Costco, The Post Exchange. I walked around about 3 hours total, and went to work for 3 hours.
I feel I did alright today. I didn't really exercise, but my eating wasn't bad calorie wise, just nutrition wise. I do better in a structured environment (like school). Hope to hear from y'all tomorrow. Night!
Goals for tomorrow:
[]64 oz. of water
[]Game day (if not rained out)
[]Eat well.
Seeing as I have a goal to reach for June 8, this is a perfect group for me. :) I'm so in.
Height: 5'11
Start Weight: 226
Current: 198
Goal: 185 for June 8th but maybe 175 longterm in August. Hopefully this will work as I'm going to have some schedule irregularities coming up.
hey guys, i want in!! need a good kick in the butt since summer's just around the corner :)
height: 5'10"
highest weight: probably just over 200lbs
lowest weight: 148lbs
current: 164lbs
don't have a specific goal weight, just want to slim down and get rid of some of the jigglies lol
gonna head out for a nice long run tomorrow as the weather forecast looks promising. hope we can all help each other out on our own journeys!!
Starting: 137
Current: 128.2
Goal: 112 by July 25th, 2009
Mini-Goal: to be 120 by May 9th (When I graduate, although I'll be one happy girl at 125 if that's where my body's at by then :)
Yay! I'm excited about this!
Will I lose weight if I eat the same food over and over?
You can lose weight despite eating the same food day-after-day as long as you eat fewer calories than you burn. In fact, eating the... Read more
