OK, my goal for the week was 138. Actually, my local friends and I had a body fat loss competition that started in 1/09. Starting weight was 148.8 & 32% body fat. Today's official contest ending weight, 135.8 lbs and 27% body fat, down 13 lbs and 5% body fat.
The only reason I lost is because of all the competitors, I was the only one under 40% body fat and exercised and ate sorta well. No one else watches their health at all. Although we're all on the same diet program (Trim Body System), most barely even tried and they still smoked me. If they exercised, it was maybe 10 min/day. I'm training for the Honolulu Marathon. One girl lost 20+ in less than 3 months and her husband lost 18. Not fair. I understand why they won, but that doesn't it make it fair.
Anywhoo, I still feel good about the weight loss. All my pants and belts are too big and I actually have little definition in my abs. Because of this challenge, I will continue with my weight loss plan and try to hit 130 by June. Best wishes to everyone in the week ahead.

I was stuck in reverse this week. My exercising was good (maybe more than usual) and my eating was pretty good, but the TIMES OF THE DAY that I ate was my downfall. I like to eat supper early (5-6pm) and ate wayyyy late this week (most nights after 9pm). My digestive system got out of whack and I don't think I ate as many calories as I needed. I also did not drink as much water as usual. I will learn from this and move forward!!!
No one here should be discouraged because you are STILL remaining dedicated to post your numbers no matter what! That says something for your character and motivation. Keep at it and I am sure by the end of the challenge you will have shown some weight loss. Maybe not the 10 but . . . at least you will know you can remain dedicated to something for a period of time.
Lil' ole me . . . well only .2 of a pound since the challenge began and if you go by the weight on the scale today it would be a positive 6 pound GAIN. So I am sure it is time to change the battery.
Take care and look for reasons and possible solutions to why you see an increase in your scale numbers.
God Bless one and all.
Well, I weighed in with our contest control scale this week. Poundage went up to 138.6, but I'm retaining water and my rings don't fit. On the other hand, my body fat went down again to 25%, for a total loss of 7% body fat since 1/09. I'll take the fat loss over pounds lost any day. ![]()
The fact that everyone checks in and is still trying is awesome. It's great to hear from chocolate_monster again. How's school? And nicoleamelia and I seem to share the same attitude, stumble, pick up, and move on.
I'm up for another 10 lb challenge from July 1 to September 30, especially since my local contest is over. Hopefully that'll be my last. I've proposed to my local group that we weigh ourselves again in December to see who kept the weight OFF! I'm sure I'll win that one hands down!
Well, I wish I had good news to report, but...sigh! Next week WILL be different.
Starting weight (April 1): 138.2 lb.
Current weight (May 6): 137.4

Not sure how true the weight loss is since I've been sick this past week. In any case, I will accept the loss & try to maintain or better it next week!
Good luck to everyone! Hope you're doing well with your challenges.
Happy Mother's Day, & have a great week. ![]()
I'm really not trying guys. I'm so ashamed... and I'm serious. I'm cheating pretty much 5 out of the 7 days each week, so my weight is not budging anywhere. I weigh myself tomorrow, and I know it will be on the 126 lb mark or maybe higher.
TOM is not helping... I was wondering why I was so ravenous yesterday... I guess that had something to do with it. Anyway, I will just try to pace myself throughout the day.
Will post update tomorrow. Well done for those who have lost, guys!! Kudos!!
Happy Mothers' Day to everyone! I kind of dreaded getting on the scale this morning because I got on the other day and I was up about 3 pounds from last week. I'm sure many of you know that discouraging feeling. The first thing I wanted to do was chuck it all and eat. Not the way to think. Fortunately I didn't let that first thought control my actions. I continued eating healthy foods in good proportions and was rewarded with a 2 pound loss this morning.

So I totally sucked this week. Just ate everything and totally pigged out 2 times when eating out. I worked out like crazy but I ate so much I just didn't loose any weight. So this week I'm getting my crap together and sticking to my 1500-1800 cals a day. I really want to be 153 by Thursday...
Its hard to be so close to my target (150) and then do what I did this week... why do we do this? I wish I would listen to myself and stop the uncontrollable eating.
