Why aren't I losing?!
For the last week and two days I have weighed exactly the same. I work out 3-5 days a week and over the weekend I worked out a lot. Not "a lot" like a long time, I worked out like high intensity so I really really hoped I would lose something and I didn't. And it's not like I can't lose it either. I weigh 196! I have plenty to lose! Im counting my calories too and drinking plenty of water. What the heck am I doing wrong?? I wanted to be 175 by christmas, at this rate, thats going to be impossible!
Mrs. Mueller..
I have no idea what your age is, but is it "that time of the month?" I just forget the scale for two weeks out of the month, because I usu. shoot up three pounds just because around then.
Are you watching you salt intake?
All 'n all, I wouldn't worry...it sounds like you are exercising a lot (don't overdo it!
), and you may have gained some muscle, and that could have something to do with not having lost any weight.
Depending where you are in your weight loss, you may want to adjust your calorie, carb, or up your protein intake.
If you really feel like there is somehting amiss, visit your doctor, your body may be trying to tell you something.
Hang in there! I couldn't make that scale move for the longest time. I finally came to the realization that my metabolism has come to a screeching halt in my mid 40's. As soon as I hit the right food/exercise ratio, the weight started to come off. I've had to adjust at least two times because as I've lost weight, my body has become more efficient, so I have to decrease the calories as well.
Good Luck Mrs. Mueller!
All the Best,
Caffy
I don't have any advice, but i'm in the same boat as you. I've been counting calories since october 4th, and I started working out 4 days a week on october 15th. I've been alternating cardio and weight lifting, and I've only lost 3 lbs. I haven't lost a single pound in the last week and a half.. It's kind of discouraging. Although i did manage to go 4 miles on the treadmill yesterday!
You are losing, believe me... if its not lbs its inches... I weighed 138, and weight 137 as of today... this is 6 weeks progress, BUT... look at my gallery picture, because I have LOST a ton of my love handles and thigh inches, SO... long story short you are probabaly gaining muscle at the same time as you are losing fat... Keep on GOING girls... take measurements and get off that awful scale!!!!
As odd it always sounds make sure you are eating enough calories to allow your body to drop the weight. You had your baby about a month ago so your body is still going through a lot of changes. It needs the fuel for breast feeding (if you are). If you are not breast feeding your body is still trying to regulate the changes.
I realize your goal is by Christmas but that may be too soon for you right now. It will happen. Do not get too frustrated. Give your body time to recover from the nine months of work it did.
What a beautiful baby! I really like his name too.
