well once i actuatually kept track of my caloric intake for about a week 6 months ago and i noticed that i was unknowingly undereating, like some days i would eat only like 700cals and others i would eat as much as 3000. i worked at an emergency animal hospital and was on my feet for more than 12 hours and day and i was lucky if i got to sit and eat lunch and when i would finally get home i was too stressed and tired to cook anything so i would just eat a bag of chips or a candy bar and go to sleep. but since i joined this site ive actually been taking in about 1900 cals on average, with 60 grams of protien and 30 grams of fiber.i dont  purposely undereat its just when im stressed the last thing i think about is food, and i get all hyper and cant relax.

ive read somewhere that during that week your body is preparing for a baby so your body sends hormones to your brain to stimulat appetite so you eat more  and thus store enough  fat

i think my body's preparing for triplets Surprised

Oh my gosh I have the same problem but a little different. The week right before my period I can't stop being hungry and no matter how much I eat my stomach will still growl and growl (I also have really painful periods and such so I'm pretty sure my eating is related to PMDD) but I have also heard that you can burn an extra 300-400 cals during the days leading up to your period (I heard it when I posted a topic about eating a lot before my period too). But the thing that makes it different is that I can't eat anything once I have my period because I am in so much pain. I feel really sick and It's usually hard to stomach much. I just got off my period yesterday and I'm still not very hungry at all. Yesterday by the time 7 o' clock came around I had only eaten about 800 calories. But sure enough I'll be really hungry in 3 weeks lol.

lol, i feel like that too!

but now since you are having 1900, i think your body will settle down soon enough. =)

ROFLOL I am not laughing at you, I find this funny because its me times 10. I do these things and can't keep my weight off and it has nothing to do with my calorie intake. I can't lose on anything higher than 1200. I have been to dietitians and dieted before with success at 1200 only and no higher...problem is my whole life has been a diet and I simply am getting tired of it.  I had a B- day and consumed almost 2000 calories today because I just had to have chicken nuggets and ice cream.  Sometimes I just want to be a normal person.  I do think hormones are an issue because it doesn't happen to me often.  I am a binger also and its really hard isn't it..to cope with that problem...
