I work in Glendale, AZ.  So, I can go to Downtown, or any place really...

 

I've no idea on any of it. Right now I was just trying to gather a group of people that are in the area, then we could find a place and suggest it from there.

I live in Tempe, work in Scottsdale, but I can go anywhere :) Other's suggestions are awesome too.

We could all do a lunch at Pita Jungle. That's my suggestion. :) Pretty healthy, but I need to call to find out if they have nutritional information available. I know they can't be that bad, and their fruit rocks!

Cool! There's a Pita Jungle at Scottsdale & Shea, in the Shea-Scottsdale (or whatever it's called) strip mall. I love that place! I've looked for nutritional information, but they don't have it online, unfortunately. Do you work in North or South Scottsdale?

North. Off Thunderbird and North Scottsdale :) We're practically work neighbors!

Holy cow, we are! My gym (24 Hr Fitness) is right near there, too...

Based on what I've read of your weight loss success (congrats, btw!), I would hardly put you in the "bum" category. ;-) Besides which, it's too hot to walk anywhere, even if it's right next door...

Have you ever tried SOMA Cafe (on Tatum & Shea)? I've been there once. They have good, healthy food, AND nutritional info to boot.

I work in Tempe but I live in Southern Chandler. Scottsdale is kinda far for me so maybe I can meet up with you another time (my husband works out there at Greenway-Hayden and it takes at least 45 minutes to get there).

Not that it even has to be at Pita Jungle. I just figured it would be a good spot. We could just hang out. Heck I'm down to going to someones house for a BBQ, some fruit, and low cal cocktails. Whatever works for me.

Open to suggestions! Anyone have a back yard they wouldn't mind throwing a bbq at? I'll bring the chicken and fruit bowl! :)

I agree with the central location thing, especially if the goal is to all meet up! As for a place, what about a picnic in the park or something?

I'm originally from Orange County, California, but I live in a s***hole called Coolidge (30 mins from Chandler) but I am always going to Phoenix/Tempe/Chandler, so I would be down to meet in any of those places, however, Scottsdale is eons away from me!!   But count me in for anything other than the North Valley.

We all have so much to talk about :) and like I said, all these cities are pretty close, we just need to figure out who wants to go and find a centerpoint.

COMMENTS: This great resturant has indoor and outdoor seating, with a mister, which is a "must" in the Arizona heat. Gentle Strength is a very large cooperative that carries top quality products and produce. Their resturant is a popular dining place for college students, visitors and people who live in the area.

I asked a co-worker about Gentle Strength, and she said that she thought it might've closed. Has anyone been there recently, though? It sounds great.
