Hi,
I have big flabby arms,,,,
yesterday I met a friend and she told me that I can never make them thin.It has been 6 months I am working out,,i weight train 2-3 times a week.
Please let me know if anyone has lost inches on the arms and how??and is it possible to loose the fat from arms??
I am really demotivated..pls help.
well, you're friend is wrong - of course you can loose weight around your arms. i've lost fat around my arms since may, and now that the fat is gone, i no longer lose in centimeters (i lost two cm around each bicep) but become more toned - i actually really like my arms now...something i didn't before.
i excercise five days a week: three days running and two days strength. rest saturday and sunday ( i might do a few strength excercises right before I go out, just because i like it when my arms are more defined :-))
good luck - and don't let your friend discourage you - you will do great :-)
thanks a lot for the motivation...it ill help me do better.my arms are like 13 cm ,so i need to loose a lot..
Your friend is crazy!! If you lose too fast, you'll have flabby arm skin but if you're on a regular, healthy diet/weight loss plan you should be fine. Use light weights to get your arms in better shape and eventually they'll be ripped, not flabby. Good luck!
Every weight loss 'plan' (the word diet sounds to me like something in which you use supplements and weight loss pills, so I never use that word, particularly when speaking of myself and losing weight, as it only discourages and [slightly] demotivates me for a moment).
Your frined probably has no idea what you're going through trying to lose weight. Correct me if I'm wrong. My friends are all skinny, therefore possibly having no idea what going through weight loss is like.
Just add 'strength training' to your weekly work-out regimen, and you should be fine. I use the following list of Nautlius weight lifting machines, and since a few months ago or so, the ridiculous amount of flab underneath my arms has decreased. I haven't checked properly, but my guess is that I've lost 2cm. of underarm flab since I've started strength training with the following machines:
- Nautilus Vertical Chest
- Nautilus Leg Press
- Nautilus Leg Curl
- Nautilus Seated Leg Press
I use those machines upon every visit to the gym. For the machine weight setting, I do 4.0-4.5 (depends on how heavy they are for me in general and at that particular moment) and for every one of the above I do 3 reps of 10.
Hopefully these will help you out, and that this post was helpful to you in some way. Don't listen to what your friend(s) say about your arm flab, and good luck to you!
EDIT: Vertical Chest is the only one I use that's really, specifically for the arms. I've just listed everything else I use for 'strength training' should you need further recommendations... if you get my drift ^^ And sorry if this post seemed a bit like I'm bragging about myself somehow, I tend to come off that way sometimes, especially where it's not intended XP
i am curious to have nautilus explained to me and how heavy a 4.0 is.
yes, of course you can lose fat from the arms, or anywhere~ it takes time, and keep in mind there is no such thing as spot reduction! work your whole body, it will come off eventually.
