How To Do Alternate Nostril Breathing – Nadi Sodhana This breath is balancing, relaxing, and calming.
- Come to sit in a comfortable cross-legged position.
- Using the right hand, fold the pointer and middle fingers into the palm, leaving the thumb, ring finger, and pinky sticking up (Vishnu Mudra).
- Bring the thumb to the right side of your nose and the ring finger to the left side.
- Close off the right nostril with the thumb.
- Inhale through the left nostril.
- Close off the left nostril with the ring finger.
- Open and exhale through the right nostril.
- Inhale through the right nostril.
- Close off the right nostril with the thumb.
- Open and exhale through the left nostril.
- Inhale through the left nostril.
- Continue alternating 5-10 times.
