Ashamed to write this, but it does hurt.

Right now, my stomach hurts from eating. I ate a big bowl of cereal just because I wanted the taste in my mouth - not because I was hungry.

Now, my stomach is killing me. I want to just lean over and throw it up cause I know it would make me feel better. But it feels like that could be a slippery slope.. I've never had an ED or anything. It's just, when your stomach is upset, throwing up generally makes it feel better. But then..could it lead somewhere?

I dunno. I just want it out.

don.t throw up...it was cereal not a pound of chocolate...even still that would not be acceptable. either stretch in child's pose...on the ground with your legs curled beneath you and your torsa resting on your thighs [kinda confusing] or go to sleep. no, you won't do any more damage by going to bed...that's a myth. or you could go for a walk to make it settle some..but DON'T THROW UP!! this could get dangerous and is never good for you! hope these suggestions help =)

Chrissy is right. Purging = bad. And I do that too sometimes, if it makes you feel better. Eating when I'm not hungry, that is. Sometimes I want tastiness even if I don't need it...

Did you know that purging, even once, can lead to heart failure? There is no way, no how, that any other CC member would even suggest that you purge.  Heart failure and a host of other health problems are lot worse than a temporary tummy ache.  Drink something warm and wait for it to pass, which it will.

Don't purge and don't get down on yourself either.  I have been down that path before and it is no place to be.  Wait a little while to let it digest and then do a bit of exercise if it makes you feel better.  Everyone slips up sometimes.

Hang in and it will pass.  I did this yesterday and was miserable for around an hour and started feeling better.  Every once and a while a slip is ok, and it can happen to anyone.  Look on the bright side... most cereals are healthy so at least it wasn't something bad like big mac's =)

I ate soooo much the other night I was curled up in a ball on the couch. I ate a rib dinner at Long Horn Steak house, Then I went home and had a sleeve of Girl Scout cookies. My stomach hurt so bad i couldn't stand it. And like you i wasn't even hungry. I just went to bed early and was extra good the next day and did 20 extra minutes of cardio. It sucks at the moment but later you'll realize it was no big deal.

I agree with the people above...please don't throw up.  It's just indigestion and an overly full stomach, it will be okay :(  Throwing up feels better when it's natural, but not so much when it's forced.  It's painful for your throat, your mouth, and puts a lot of pressure on your stomach.  The one time I tried it, it was so difficult I ended up in tears. If you are sick enough that you need to throw up, it'll just happen naturally.

Just avoid trampolines and more food for a little bit and your digestive motility should kick in :)  Feel better!

Its just cereal in a way its good for u even though your body didnt really want it. Just go for a walk that should help ease it and make you feel better.

It's okay, this happens to everybody once in a while. Just walk around a little bit to get your digestion going. Whenever I'm bored or crave some sort of flavor, I pop a couple pieces of fruity, sugar-free gum. It really helps me avoid mindless binging (esp. when I'm not even hungry) bc I get the chewing sensation and it tastes like candy!

Hang in there, your stomach will stop hurting in a little bit.  Some peppermint  or chamomile tea might help too, if you have any around.

Ginger tea can also help soothe your stomach. I don't like the taste, so I would take ginger herbal pills instead.

I know the feeling, but purging isn't the answer.  It's just cereal, so drink some water, lay down if you can and it should pass quickly, you're just extra full.

hi blue i know how u feel i used to do that about 10 years ago but i didnt want to come out i was starving myself because my ex boyfriend was drolling all over the super models so i thought my body wasnt good enough so i starved myself i was only taking in 500 calories and no fat til i got tired of it and started eating everything and gained all the 150 lbs i lost. so hang in there ok tina

Hi Blue- Hey, girl - you made a mistake and ate too much.  It's okay.  It's really, really okay.  We all make mistakes, eat for the wrong reasons, eat too much.  We ALL do.

I do.

And when I do I say something like: "Dang! Why did I do that?"

And then: "Well, I can do better tomorrow."

And then: "I made a mistake, but I'm going to do better."

Next time you want to reach for the cereal (when not hungry), what are you going to do?  What's your plan?  Are you going to remember your stomach ache?  How you felt?  Go to another room?  Count to 10?  Breathe?  Call a friend?  Log on to CC?  Listen to your favorite song?  Make a cup of tea?  Write in a journal?  Tell yourself what you like most about yourself?  Make a date to eat a nice bowl of cereal the next time you are truly hungry?  Make a plan.

Don't get trapped.  You have choices and I believe in you.
