Is there a diet to follow to lose fat on my face, chin, belly, and underarms?
Asked by anonymous on Jun 20, 2008 in Weight Loss

Before I started Calorie Count, I always ate twice the amount of calories I require.  Now, I exercise regularly using the stationary bicycle and sprinting >19mph on it, and I walk to and from school everyday for 20 minutes.  I lead a basically healthy life with my diet consisting of fish, lots of vegetables, fruits, rice, meat. Where did I go wrong?

Answer

Diet cannot target fat loss from any part of your body, but since your weight is in the normal range according to your profile, excess body fat may not be the issue.  Even so, you can add upper body exercises to your walking and biking routine to keep your arms and toned.  Likewise, core strengthening exercises can make you appear slimmer by tightening your abdominal muscles. The fat on your face and chin cannot be selectively reduced, but you can change your hairstyle to flatter the shape of your face.  Visit the Guide to Beauty at About.com to see a galley of hairstyles for a round face.
