According to my high tech scale, I'm carrying 43 lb of water. Is that normal?

I have a high tech scale that reads my BMI, my water weight, bone weight, etc., but 43 pounds of water to me seems crazy. How accurate is that and is that to much water?
Answer
I can’t comment on the accuracy of your particular scale is, but 43 lb of water doesn’t seem to be enough. The average adult body is 50 to 65% water, with woman having less than men. You probably measured your percent body water (43%), which showed that you were a bit dry. Changes in hydration affect the reading, and so for the best accuracy, take readings at least 3 hours after rising, eating a large meal or exercising, and average your readings over the course of one month.
