I ate how many calories!?

Quote  |  Reply

Hello everyone! I am new to calorie-count and so far things are going well. The first few day I logged I was shocked at how much I was eating. I actually thought I had done well but had eaten 2000+ calories. Holy ****!!! So far no weight loss but I feel like I'm finally on the right track, and I even feel a little healthier... which, in the end, is the most important thing. Anyway a little bit about me, I'm 24 y/o college student. I'm busy all the time with school and work so my weight and health usually takes the back seat. I joined this site to help keep track of things and to make some friends who are struggling with similar issues. If anyone would like to chat about weight loss or just anything in general let me know!! Good luck everyone!

Hello and welcome. Yes, isn't it a surprise when you think you've been doing OK and then you logg everything for the first time!!! I certainly know about that.

I've only been here a few weeks but the people are friendly and helpful.

All the best to you.

Welcome!  This site has been a huge help to me too.  I was shocked when I saw the calories that I was consuming . For nearly a year  I was walking between 10 to 12 miles a week and I thought I was doing great . I lost inches but no pounds and actually gained.  After coming back on this site , I realized it was due to my intake and I was just holding my own with the walking .

TOday I was shocked when I ate rice for lunch and saw that the yellow rice was not as great as I thought . I had it last night and today and blew most of my calories on it because I had a  bowl of it and had put 3 0z. of Spam in it.  I knew the spam was deadly but it was fast and I gave it to it. Big mistake!!

Good luck to you!

Welcome to both of you!  I'm 25 weeks in and I still have those days :)

They come once in a while, and all you have to do is learn to let it roll off your back and keep looking forward.

If you have any questions, people here are very helpful and nice, so feel free to message any one of them for help or advice.
