I ate 12 donuts in one sitting!!! And I'm still alive

Quote  |  Reply

Yea. I ate 12 250cal/piece donuts. Entennman devils food crumb donuts to be exact. It was delicious. 3000 cals of sugar and fat. And you know what? that is less than a lb of fat I put on (Seeing as how I already met my RDA for calories today). I will easily burn it off next week with only a 500cal deficit a day. I feel so much better knowing that I can survive eating it, and I feel like never having a donut again.

Yep, sounds like the first few shots of Donut War II have been fired.

INCOMING-----RUN FOR YOUR LIVES.

kizzi, if you look at xmohamm1's post, i don't think he's worried.

cordy, i'm disappointed.  i've seen you around and thought you were intelligent.

my second post was in response to the OPs explanation that he's a wrestler and therefore can rationalize 12 donuts in a sitting.  yeah - 12 donuts are still "blech." and yeah, immature for him to not say that up front in his first post, and instead to talk about "starving" himself.  no?

Wrestlers are known to starve themselves and binge. They must maintain a certain weight. I knew some wrestlers in high school that would go give a pint of blood the day before a match so they could lose a pound and make their weight class.

Disturbing.

right.  which is why this thread wasn't about wrestlers (he didn't even tell us that until well into page 1).  and in the weight-loss forum.  helpful.

Correction, the fracas started with Carley. She responded to pg's first thread with pure hate and vitriol. Pg's first thread was nothing to get your panties in a wad over. Pg's 2nd post was the one calling the OP an adolescent. And he is. The kid was bragging about starving and binging.

This topic has become nothing but people arguing, I wish the mods would lock it.

For asking everyone to calm down and then being insulting you disqualify your post. lol.

malynda, you're way too cute to get away with saying that eating a dozen donuts is a bad idea ;)

Oh come on. Join the Donut Wars. Sneak up on the enemy and shake powdered sugar on the back of their shirts.

Oh, I'm into THAT.  Anyone wanna take that to the lounge and I'm down with it.  It's the arguing...

sweetie, there will be arguing.  put on your kevlar.

oh gosh, well that is a lot of doughnuts, and i am glad that you aren't beating yourself up about it because i think that when you do it wastes a lot of time that could be focussed on ...work or exercise or fun :D

i don't like doughnuts at all but i could definitely eat the same amount as you in white rice!!

I did it once with bagels after doing the atkins diet for a few days.  Then once again with fried meatballs.  As I was frying them, one for me, one for the bowl, one, two for me, two for the bowl......Ugggg, what a stomach ache.  That was before I learned how to eat properly.  I thought dieting was starving as long as you could, then  I would break down and go nuts.

I like the donut wars, but maybe we could change the title to the broccoli wars.  Then I wouldn't feel like running out to Crispy Kreme everytime I log on.

I just don't understand why this guy is some sort of exception to the support and compassion vibe. Because he's a wrestler? I've known wrestlers, and their relationship with food can be totally messed up. I read this post and saw it as a guy who probably usually freaks when he splurges on something but realized this time that the world isn't over. I had the same revelation once (quitting when I had a tiny setback has always been my major obstacle) and I was proud of him. So did some other dude a while back, and everyone pinned a medal on him (or at least a sticky).

For some reason, other people thought he was either advocating binging, or wagging his metabolism in people's faces. I still don't see it that way.

But I guess it's me, I must really not be that intelligent!

Technical correction - pgeorgian's ugly-*** attitude started from his/her second post, not the first. Both started with 'blech,' but the second one went on to call xmohamm an adolescent 'in more ways than one' (paraphrase, not going back to check) and end on a rude, flippant note. Easy mistake.

Equally easy is to start goofing around about beignets and bull nuts after you realize you acted like a nasty person, hoping no one will notice anymore.

EDIT: I think I got my dog icons confused a bit. ee. This whole thread is confusing.

Be nicer to each other, people.

I just read this entire thread and I second this. Why would anyone go onto someone else' profile (who didnt even start the thread) and use its contents against them??? PG wasnt looking for advice, she just commented that she doesnt like donuts. I think people need to stop looking for an arguement.

To be honest, I don't really see the problem with him announcing that he ate 12 doughnuts and doesn't feel bad about it. If that was me, I might feel really horrible about myself and end up eating another 12 doughnuts the next day! I actually find his post kind of motivational. We all have bad days, theres no use for making excuses why we did it or feeling horrible about it.  I don't see why people can't use his situation as an example; we shouldn't beat ourselves up about eating junk food once in a while. He specifically stated that he would "feel like never having a donut again." By the next day he is probably ready to go back to eating healthy and not crave junk food for a long, long time. That sounds completely rational to me.

And on another note, I think everyone needs to be nicer. People go on the forums to hear support and motivation, not to be critisized or insulted. I think everyone should stick with the rule we should've learned in elementary school: If you don't have anything nice to say, please don't say anything at all. We should make everyone feel welcome to express their opinions without being judgemental.

Yea...since the day of eating all that junk, ive been eating healthy again and doing my usual exercise rountine of heavy lifting for an hour and 5 mile runs. All I was trying to tell everyone was that eating sooo much junk one day is not going to hurt, as I was 147.0 the day before, and two days after i was 146.7. (And I know I have a really fast metabolism, but even if its slow, YOU WILL SURVIVE). Of course it isnt healthy, and I know that, but once it is done there is nothing to do about it. You just keep eating healthy and exercise right in the future.

i think everyone in this topic needs to have a doughnut.

cute picture, xmohamm.  i didn't know you were that kind of wrestler Wink
