Hrtlvr,

I haven't seen low fat english muffins.  I'll have to look for them.

Tx there made by Thomas and they are even on the food list on CC there a 100 cals

sunnim - how is the Newman's seasame ginger? I almost bought some - its buy one get one free (newmans) at the store this week.

Today was/will be:

Breakfast 204 calories:

Breakfast Burrito (low carb tortilla, 1/8c egg beaters, 1/2 slice american cheese, 2 turkey sausage links and salsa)

Snack 50 calories:

some of the cheese off a frozen pizza I burnt all to hell in the microwave rendering it inedible for lunch. I figure it was maybe 50cals worth of cheese

Lunch 142 calories:

5 oz of vegetarian brown rice sushi

Dinner 278 calories:

1/2 pita with london broil w/onions, green peppers, light mayo and provolone cheese

Snack 300 calories:

some soup I am making now, I'll have a bowl later. I did the recipe with 12 servings, but I might not eat a whole servings (it says its like 322 grams/11 oz) it's my version of Olive Garden's Zuppa Toscana

total 974 - if I have a WW dessert later my total will be about 1100.

That pie i made yesterday.... I took a 1/4 of it (2 pieces) and i was so happy thinking wow this is great, all this yummy chocolate pudding pie for 300 calories I'm going to eat this all the time! Then I ate like 75% of it and thought...  crap, what if the recipe analyzer used 1/8 of the crust and divided it by 8 again? I checked, yup... so it really came out to like 260 a slice : /

Kdh - I really like it! It has a very stong flavor so a little goes a long way. It is a fairly thin dressing though so it will float to the bottom of the plate/bowl. Keep stirring it up while you eat. (Two benefits - you don't add more & it takes longer to eat the salad so your body might have a chance to start feeling full.) If you like ginger and a slightly "nutty" flavor to things you should like it. I think Newman's puts out a full calorie version as well - so double check that you are getting the light version. (35 calories per 2T serving)

Your burning your pizza in the microwave hits home today. A couple of days ago one of my kid's friends set a potato on fire in the micro - litterally on fire (flames and all) we are still working on how.

I wish my store would put those dressings on sale - they are good, but soooo expensive.

Went over my budget of 1340 by 398 calories clocking in at 1738 for the day.

What I do with those types of dressing (the thin type) is, instead of pouring the dressing over the salad, I take a forkful (or fingers if I am home) and dip into the bowl of dressing.   I get the flavor and actually use very little of the dressing.

I really didn't do so well at breakfast.  I was at the hospital while my husband was having his 3 yr. EGD for cancer checkup.  I guess I was more stressed about it than I thought.  I went to the cafeteria for some hot tea and.....well ended up with a slice of bacon, biscuit and gravy and fresh fruit.

It ended up being about 350 calories, plus there is the 1/2 cup of oatmeal I ate at 4:30 this morning (had to get up early to be there at 5:30)

I could have done worse, I guess.  I ate the bacon with a little gravy on the biscuit and ate the fruit with a diet coke.  It wasn't even that good.  Kinda wish I'd done butter and jelly if I was going to eat that many calories.

Lunch was 3 ounces of steak and a skinny salad at Applebees.  Husband was understandably hungry.  I brought home the rest of the steak.  A naked baked potato and some broccoli.  He brought home his steak and mashed taters and roll.  I got his broccoli.

So I'll probably have potato and broccoli for supper and he can have my steak for a sandwich tomorrow or just left overs.

Calories so far 650.  I caught myself after I ater that stupid biscuit and said "You made a mistake.  Let's recover the day."

wtg tx for not just saying to heck with it and eating what you want! I know a time when that would have been just what I would have done!

Breakfast 222 cal:

1 cup Fiber One Caramel Delight w/ 1/2 c ff milk - did I mention I love this cereal yet??

Lunch hunger attack 642 cal:

1/2 pita with 2 oz london broil, onions, pepper, 2 slices provolone cheese, light mayo - then low carb tortilla with 1 slice provolone, 2 slices hard salami, then 1/4 c cottage cheese

Soon after lunch snack 111 cal:

1/2 c same fiber one cereal with 1/4 ff milk

Dinner 244 cal:

whopper jr with cheese, without mayo/bun, salad w/ken's light northern italian (2 tsp)

Snack 102 cal:

6 pieces of cherry twizzler bites and 1 square of beligan chocolate

Total: 1319 B+ Grade and 23 grams fiber today woo hoo :)

OK, Here's how my day ended up:

Early breakfast: 1/2 cup oatmeal

Late breakfast: biscuit, bacon, gravy, fresh fuit, diet coke

Late lunch: 3 ounces steak, skinny salad

Supper: 3 ounces brisket, 1/2 baked potato, 1/2 cup broccoli

Total calories: 1019

I may still have a late night snack 100 calories ice cream bar.

Congratulations texmom on recovering your day! It can be sooooooo hard to do that especially when the oops is so early in the morning. Way to go!!!!!!

My food for the day:

Dinner (as I said in another post I got up really late in the day - my kid was in the ER until after 3:30am and dinner was early because of an evening commitment)

2 tsp Shedd's spread margarine - 57 cal

***** 2 cups tossed salad w/ 4T Newman's Own Low Cal Ginger Sesame Dressing - 103 cal

*****1/2 canned fruit salad - 63 cal

At evening gaming session:

1 medium gala apple - 72 cal

1 small naval orange - 80 cal

2 servings baby carrots - 70 cal

1 Serving Kettle Chips - Salt & Pepper chips - 150 cal

Total for gaming session snacks 472

Total for day 1155  but boost to ego and confidence to face food issues head on - priceless!!!!

Congrats sunnim about your gaming night success.

Why were you in the ER with your child?  What happened?  Are they ok?  I guess he/she is or you wouldn't be messing around with the computer.

Texmom,

He is fine - he cut his finger cleaning the meat slicer at work. We took him in to make sure he didn't need stiches. He didn't thank goodness. Ultimately we spent several hours at the ER for them to clean it up and put a bandage on it, but better safe than sorry.

Thank you for the information on adding stuff to the food log.

Sunni

Sunnim,

Thank hurts to even think about it.  You never know...he might have needed a Tetanus shot.  Glad he wasn't hurt badly.

All I've eaten today is a nice salad and a shake and bake porkchop that I scraped most of the breading off.  Even the breading is not that bad...35 calories a serving.

I glad he wasn't hurt too badly either - my heart just about stopped beating when he first called me until I realized that if it had been too bad it would have been his boss calling. I knew his tetanus shot was up to date since he had a booster during his physical a year ago.
