Attention all: Boycott your boyscouts!

They're trying to compete with girlscouts and their cookies of doom with chocolate covered popcorn. 

Should one of these little hobbits show up at your door with their shiny badges and smug scout leader in tow, lock them out!  Do not give in to the chocolate covered popcorn.  It will ruin your diet and ruin your marriage.

D;  Alex ate the piece I wanted.  He took a pillow to the face.  Hard.

haaaha they try to get me when i leave the supermarket! all cute with their little uniforms and their cute little Boston south shore accents trying to get me to buy "pup-corn."

My coworker has a boyscout and a cubscout.  Since I've got an uncle who loves popcorn I got a tub of unpopped for him and the chocolate covered for us, 'cause it was described as "better than sex."

She said you'll eat it at first with caution and after it finally gets passed your lips, your eyes will bug out and a whole handful will go in your mouth.  I thought she was kidding, but that's exactly how it happened when Alex tried it.

And, of course, since it came in during my busiest part of the work week (where a second shift follows a third shift and a third shift follows the second immediately after), when I've had no sex at all, it was better than sex.  :|

I can understand lots of reasons to Boycott the BSA (such as their stance on Gay People), but Cookies.. is new to me.

POPCORN.  Not cookies. 

My niece is a scout.  How does that factor into the equation?

I don't like chocolate.  Problem solved.

I have a boyscout shirt I wear from time to time, got it at a thrift store, must have been owned by a robust boy..............

I hate chocolate, but that's not stopping me from killing this popcorn.

the chocolate popcorn we sell is a chocolate and caramel mix. It IS to die for. The regular flavors are very good too.

My husband bought me some of the caramel and chocolate covered popcorn. I can't believe I'm saying this, but it is almost too sweet for me

don't boycott cookies either.. I am a leader.. and we depend on that sale for all the fun stuff we do... and I support those little boy scouts.. But I was good.... I bought the light popcorn... It doesn't taste very light to me.. but i still eat it.

I've got neices and nephews in scouts. I just ordered trail mix and popcorn from my nephew after he listed everything he was selling over the phone. Arrgh! Now, I just need a plan to get rid of it. Hey, everyone wanna come over?

Just give them cash and tell the little buggers to keep the poison.

If you are having any holiday parties put it in a large bowl and lay it out for people to snack on. :P

We don't celebrate holidays.  I work 'em anyway.

Alas... I'll just drunkenly snack on them.

Here's a suggestion for scouts and guides - instead of selling boxes of cookies and bags of chocolate coated popcorn in November, why not go door to door and sell a package of 25 single servings in early October?   - I'm going to buy Halloween candy anyway - and I don't care whether I like it or not - so I'd be happy to support your fundraising and then give the stuff back to you when you come trick or treating! 

I've been boycotting them for they're stances on gay people and atheists--except they haven't tried to sell me anything so far. But now that they are I won't buy it!
